Thread: Swords and selling them...
Hello everyone.
Just decided that I'm going to be a Master Fencer and Master Weaponsmith because I want to be able to make my own weapons.
Since I'll be making my own weapons, I thought it would be cool to sell my weapons on a fencing-exclusive vendor.
Here's my planned template:
Master Weaponsmith
Master Fencer
Artisan line - Engineering (required for WS)
Artisan line- Business (requirement for Merchant)
Merchant line - Advertising (to have my vendors show up on the map).
This will leave me with about 32 skill points left over. I was wondering if there were any other skills I needed. I'm not too concerned with how the vendors look or anything like that. Just want to have a simple vendor in my home that shows up on the map.
Thanks.

Bad idea ... very bad idea ...
You waste a whole ton of points and time and effort so you can make your own weapons? Hear me know and believe me later ... just find a good smith and buy your own weapons.
Granted melee weapons are generally easier to make and take less components / specialized resources then the ranged weapons ... but your still going to be hunting the *best* resources all the time ... and for what?
Had a customer show up while restocking a vendor ... asked me for 5 something ... gad batons I believe ... told me he used to be a weaponsmith and now he *gladly* buys his weapons and doesn't every squawk about prices or anything like that.
It's a calling to be a weaponsmith ... if your not called to be a "crafter"... then don't bother dabbling ... and especially not in WS ... you want to dabble crafter trying something easier :-)
I agree with Hero here, I have almost the same template you are considering (carbineer instead of fencer)
While I make very nice weapons my combat skills are badly gimped because of all the skill points I have tied up in weaponsmith
