Had a customer send me a /tell asking for the "best" (of course) vibroknucles that could be made.

I had come across one of the +20 max damage Nym's motors and told him that was available and he wanted it.

So I make it and the experimentation goes great, into the 95% range for damage (on the knuckles themselves). With Nym's motor, max damage came out to around 147, speed 2.2. One of the better ones I've made.

Customer comes and shows me one he has with 170+ max damage and says his friend has one thats 200+ max damage.

How in the world can knuckles with such high damage be made?

The only area I can see that could have been improved was in making the vibro motor, the only lmitation there being the poor unit toughness of Desh Copper (370s is highest Ive been able to find).

Does Desh Copper's UT sometimes come much higher than that?

Where did I go wrong in making these knucles?

could have had it sliced and didnt realize it.e.i bought it sliced and was not labled or the maker had used a motor that dropped form a krayt-which is rare---so mine are about waht you made 2.ish with 130-140 max dmg so who knows

sounds like you were not using the advance vibro unit, my base vk's (with an advanced unit) are around 36-147 2.2. I have made several enhanced ones that were 167 max damage..

We've made 229 Dmg VK's (post slice) on Lowca.

Yeah, if you got 140's damage with a vibro motor (that has +20 damage), something is terribly wrong (especially if you're experimenting to 95% damage). I think you need to pay attention to the subcomponent, the advanced vibro motor, and get that made.

P.S. The 170 Damage one was probably sliced, and the 200+ damage one is definitely sliced. 140 range is about top end for having no enhancements in it.

Using a +28 motor I was able to make a 171 max damage, 2.2 speed vibro knuckler. With slice it was 212 max damge, 2.2 speed.

The best i was able to do so far was using a normal vib unit and a motor to give me a 160+ @2.1 unsliced.

My unenhanced knucklers top out at 146max damage w/ 2.2 speed (using an advanced Vibro unit. This is on starsider and this is about what the top end weaponsmiths can do)

That is in line with what we can produce on Naritus right now also. My top of the line with Adv Vibro Units are 37-146 Damage and 2.2 Speed.

I believe the Desh I used had UT in the 300s and the Platinite had UT in the 700s or low 800s. The metal used in the VKs is Vatee on Naritus that has 984 SR (We also just got 998 SR Polymer so our swords are topped out - YAY!!!).

To get 229 max damage you need a 35% damage slice on a 170 VK so it isn't unheard of. My VK's are 148, 2.2 with advanced motor.

my weaponsmith on bloodfin made 5 VK's with 2.1 speed 220dmg and 50% wounds, he got6 vibro blade units/motors that were exceptional, don't remeberif it was units or motor, made a schematic and pumped out the 5 best VK's on the server

the units/motors droped from a krayt pre-patch i think

one got a 35% dmg slice and its at 276 dmg, and my friend hasn't put a power up on it yet

wow a 276 max dmg VK, now that's evil

my best unsliced was 176, 2.2made with a +29 vibro motor, perfect experimentation on VK itself but not on vibro blade unit, just 3-4 points shy though
