Really 2 Questions here,

I'm aware that there are a number offactors that can affect a weapons quality and hence final price but my question is really a basic one......

My first question is, on average, for a good quality (not necessarily the best) T21 what should I be prepared to pay. I ask this question to you all because of the WIDE difference of prices I get when I /tell a MWS. Ive heard ranges from 50k-300k. All I can say is that these prices all came from the same town on the same day, so demand would have been the same.

I could've jumped on the 50k one but then I got to thinking, which brings me to my 2nd question, what makes the T21 THAT MUCH BETTER than a Laser Rifle that I can get for A LOT less?

Thanks All

What it boils down to is a matter of components as a point of view.

The T-21 requires 10 power handlers. All up it takes 639 resources. The gun frame requires ditanium steel, polonium iron, gallinorian rainbow crystalline gemstone and alantium carbonate ore.

The Laser rifle takes 3 power handlers. All up it takes 299 resources. The gun frame requires link steel aluminium.

The T-21 is such a monstrous beast to craft when compared to the Laser rifle. Personally I weigh value of weapons to me by the power handler count. By this, the T-21 will cost me the opportunity to make 3 laser rifles. An entire schematic run of power handlers will makeunder four crates of T-21 rifles (counting schematic trial and loss).

That being said though, the T-21 has a tighter damage spread (min and max are not as divergent as the laser weapons) and this counts heavily in light of the new damage mitigation feature. Laser weapons suffer the most from this. The T-21 also has heavy armour piercing - there are plenty of posts and guides regaridng armour piercing - if you are not familiar with it, I suggest you read up on the effects - the advanced guide on the official site is a good read.

And from pure aesthetics, the T-21 just looks dead cool.

Despite all that, I'm not sure why 50k is the lowest price on your server's T-21s. Are they new to your server? I understand if it's a case of GCR's just shifted in and the mania sets in .... but 50k seems a little highto me, 300k is insane. I sell my T-21's for 25k, but if people started charging in and buying me out you can bet I will raise the prices.

So, that's from a weaponsmith's point of view (well, one of them, mine) - as a customer you compare prices and ask, "What is it about this gun that makes it so much better than another that justifies the price difference?" - however, from where I stand, it is a case of "At what price would I consider it worth my while to bust my gut to craft these buggers?".
