Thread: Crates of Weaponry
Hello weaponsmiths!
My friend is a Slicer and I am a Commando looking for a nice flamethrower and some launcher powerups. I would like to buy a crate of flamethrowers andhave my friend slice them all (can launcher powerups be sliced too?). As a Master CH I totally understand about good/bad customers. Before I place an order I was looking for advice from Master Weaponsmiths on what I should ask for when ordering so I don't become a bad or fussy customer ![]()
1. Do I need to let them know I'll be slicing all of them? Would that make a difference in the materials used?
2. On my server (Flurry) a FT seems to cost about 12k-15k each. Would a crate get a discount or would I simply multiplythe single unit cost by the number in a crate? Or what should a crate cost for FTs with great basic stats?
3. Can my Launcher Pistol powerups be made in a crate?
4. What kinds of Powerups are available? It's funny, you would think I should know, but somehow info on our weapons is far and few in between ![]()
5. Can launcher powerups be sliced?
Sorry for all the questions, but they are easier to ask here than the crippled in-game emailsystem!

PS: If any Flurry weaponsmiths would like to work with me, please send me a tell. Thanks.
1: Not realy. It would be good just to tell them you want a crate and how many you need.
2: Up to the WS. Some may charge the same a few may give you a "Bulk" discount.
3 & 4: If you mean Pups used on guns then yes. As far as I know there are no Pups made for specific weapons. Just Melee (of which there is 1 type) and Ranged Weapon Pups. Which come in like 7 kinds. Not all WSs make Pups. It's really a Master Artisan you need to look for. Good tip is to tell them some of the stats you would like increased or decreased. It's a random effect while trying to make them really and it may take them a few tries to get something close to or exactly like you want.
5: Pups are not weapons nore armor so they can't be sliced.
Artisans can make the Powere ups (Pups). It''s under the Generic Tab and they should see (Depending o their levels) Melee Weapon Power Up - Generic Melee Weapon Kit (Melee get's only 1) and/or Ranged Weapon Power up - Barrel, Coupler, Grip, Muzzle, Scope and Stock (Ranged gets these 6). I'm not too sure what the limitations of each are or which are more suited to what stats on weapons. I know that from what I've seen the Muzzle seems the most popular. WS get no additional ones in their lines. It all comes from the artisan class.
Hope this helps

Thanks for the info. Could you clarify the Master Artisan reference? The weapon powerup is made by them? I asked an artisan friend of mine and they said they didn't have any kind of weapon powerup they could make. Is it a sub-component used for assembly or an attachment?
Thanks

Can powerups be used in combination? E.g. can I use a Stock, Scope, Barrel etc on the same weapon? Or just one? Also, are the different types associated with the powerup result? E.g. does barrel equate to damage power up, scope to to-hit, etc.?
I haven't crafted too many powerups, but I think there is a bit of difference. Don't quote me, but I think there is a pool of attributes that each type of powerup can be made with. When crafted a random attribute is pulled from a pool and associated with the newly crafted powerup. I have made very nice powerups for my rifle (usually scopes) and others for my pistols (various, depending on stats I wanted to improve).
The way poiwer-ups work is that you can only use one powerup on a weapon at a time. When crafting the powerups there are usually 3-4 Primary and 3-4 Secondary types associated with each kind of Powerup. So if you craft a Muzzle Powerup for example, there are 4 things that have an equal chance of being picked for the Primary Attribute and 3-4 things that have an equal chance of getting chosen.
There have been posts in the past (most likely on the Artisan forums) that detail which types of Powerups you can craft based on your choice of Muzzle, Scope, etc.... It's a fairly long list but definitely helps when you are trying to get a specific power combination.
