I read the smuggler forums (yeah, i used to be a smuggler, gotta problem with that?) and there was a thread called "a chuckle for the Smuggler" where they talked about the idio-... "less educated" customers and anything they found amusing. It was hilarious and successful (yeah there wouldnt be as many funny stories for the weaponsmith, but still, there's gotta be some) Does anyone have any funny stories to share?

And trust me...we get quite a few gems from people..theres only so much to know about slicing ...try explaing to someone how many geo cubes you need to get 2 scyths from one use of the schmatic.

I'm still a Master Smuggler, so no problems here. 
The Chuckle for a Smuggler thread is hilarious, as is the WS equivalent thread. Good reading.

yeah, i go through this alot actually, but it pays off in i usually get the second use on the schem as payment, and they get two scythes. i was up to 15 reserve schems at one point...

scythes are the bane of my life
"can you make me a scythe"
"i want a scythe with 600 max damage"
"can you make me a scythe"
my answer is always you bring me the parts and i'll make them for 100k each but people dont seem to understand the scythes need parts to make.
my other favourite from the other day was "can you make me a 1400+ max damage t21"
I tried explaining to him but it was too much i just burst out laughing in his face

i just tell them straight...
"Sure... but i need you to help me with the components, ok?
"Alright, what do you need?"
"Go find a krayt dragon. Kill it. Loot it."
"That's it?"
"Well, not exactly. You need to continue doing this until you loot a set of 11 legendary tissues with a dmg enhancer of 1,000, unless you want to take your chances on getting a good dmg slice from a smuggler. Then you just need tissue with a dmg enhancer of 700. Come back when you get the tissue."
"Ok."
and this is when i send /tells to everybody i know about the n00b i just sent to the krayt graveyard looking for 700dmg tissues, lol...

i did something along those lines
"theres a rare black ancient krayt dragon spawns on dathomir in the center west side of the planet"

I still say the funniest thing I have yet to run into is can you make me a krayted vibro knuckle. I think I actually got asked this one time. Guy wanted a 2.0 speeder with like 100 min 200 max dmg. Best I can get is 2.1 speed 37 min 137 max dmg using those lightweight vibro units.

I despise the "can you make me an uber baton/ph/rifle". I also hate explaining to people that there are some items that can only be made from certain schematics and components.

This is funny. My only real "issue" thusfar has been with some gimp wanting to pay me to make a ton of proton grenades, and then trying to get me to take a weekly salary that was 1/3 than the total cost of materials, etc to make the things in the first place.
