I've been a WS for quite awhile now. I got into it a bit late, and never really made a name for myself outside of my guild, but I make very good weapons... just as good as any of the "big names" on my server, and occasionally better. I'm just not well known. I'm an 11 pt 'smith with force experimentation, so I never get below a great success.

Anyway, I don't get to play SWG during the week, so I'm a weekend player. I recently mastered pilot and am trying to remaster TKA after I foolishly dropped it.

I basically keep WS as a side-game when I get bored. I'll make the guild weapons and provide them with whatever they need, but aside from that I'll just throw some VK's and PH's up on the bazaar every once in awhile to make some quick cash, or make some krayt weapons and sell them for more quick cash and/or give them to guildies.

Anybody else do this, or are most of you full-time WS's?

I am a WS because I enjoy it. However I don't enjoy the mass crafting aspect of it. I do it as a hobby.In part due to this I have become good at it, I focus only on custom weapons usually enhanced weapons and take custom orders only. My true love of the game is combat, but I enjoy being able to make high quality weapons. I have a name on our server and could go mass crafting if I decided to but never will. I simply don't find enjoyment out of harvesting resources and running factories 24/7. My calling is to make the best quality weapons, not to make the most weapons. I make enough money doing this to carry me along, but I can pretty much pick and choose when I want to spend my time crafting which is how I like it. I enjoy combat and spend most of my time fighting and only a small portion of my time crafting.

I do it for a profession. But I refuse to make crate weapons so sometimes I get back up and a little slow. I have been focusing on my other profession lately. But vendors are starting to get LOW so i need to spend a few days jsut crafting...

Not sure if I'm a hobbyist or not. I'm still fairly new to the profession, and making a living as an architect (if you can call the little we make a living )while I improve my WS resource stocks, and make a few weapons. I've got a few of each type on a vendor, and sell some on the bazaars. I doubt my name is out there as a WS yet though, since I don't really advertise (other than the PAC). I enjoy making weapons though, and like going out looking for the best resources to do so. Someday I might have a bigger business, which would be fine, but I'm not the kind to go out looking for it.

Originally, I was a hobbiest, but recently, I've been working the WS more than my main. Finally opened up a small business and have been getting a little more custom work requests to do.

Im a total hobby-ist main profession is my rifleman/ ace reb pilot. I took up WS to give my guild free weapons as they have a habit of changing professions on a regualr basis and to make muntions for myself.

I dont even make for people outside the guild as i dont advestise who I am. Like some of the other contibuters I have limited time in game so dont have the time to run 6 factories and numerous harvesters.

100% hobbiest here. I play two accounts. I will make wepaons for my combat guy. I'll go hunt for loot and such for my WS to craft a weapon. 90% of the stuff I make these days is either for my own use, or putting loot into a gun, giving it a cool name, then selling it on my special vendor. I don't sell any regular weapons anymore, they all have something special about them, although few use Krayt tissues. (Yet)

I've created an alt on another server and made him a wookie. He'll be a Weaponsmith but only as a hobby to keep himself in bowcasters. If I bother hooking up with a guild then maybe I'll branch out a bit more but sometimes it's nice to just get away from the guild thing and worry about yourself.
