Thread: The Slice Gods hate me!

Got 10 +120 tissues, made a Jawa and a Geo. Both got nice 30%+ SPEED slices.

That's why I don't get anything sliced anymore ... I lose money half the time. Had my smuggler sliced 6 weapons the other day and 5 were +28% Speed Slices also and that is when I said enough.

These were for me though. I didn't care about profit. I needed some kick arse weapons. So far EVERY weapon I have had that had super uber base stats has ended up with a speed slice and fallen into the catagory of being "ordinary." In this case, less then ordinary because the min doesn't get touched by tissue.

Wow, i must be lucky. I had 2 krayted Jawas made a while back and they both got damage slices. both ended up around 350 damage after the slice since i only used base tissues. I didnt think much of it but it seems that alot of people get speed slices so i guess im pretty lucky

/comfort...i so feel your pain, i occassionally have auctions of speed sliced nym vk's that don't do me any good, and those cost me lots less then what you must have paid...


the key is sacrificing a rodian to the gods of slicing while wearing winged hawtpants but thats not always easy to do

I'd love to do that, but where am I going to find a rodian, and where am I going to find hawtpants that a wook can wear?



I agree though... I often find myself on the short end of the stick. I'd be pissed if I bought my loot, but thankfully I just craft with what I find.

I feel your pain, but I've also know the elation many times of getting good or great slices. I've hada few thousand weapons sliced at this point and it's all a numbers game. Flip a coin two or three times and you'll get three heads fairly often. Flip a coin a hundred times and you'll start to get results that are more reflective of the true odds.

Go ahead and slicem up,ones that get speed sell at "cost" the dmg ones will more than make up the diff.May sit on vendor for weeks but so what,someone always comes along sooner or later and grab.Could be just for a nice grind gun or even a decoration or they may want speed.


I've never had a krayt weap not sell and never dropped the price below what it cost me to make.Key is dont get caught up in a bid war on a set of tissues,pick a max price when ya start to bid and dont go over that amount.

I normally do just craft what I loot. But who could pass these babies up? The max on this baby is still around 360, but no damage slice is keeping the min damage down. I guess the Gods said, "No pvp for j00" last night.

The slice gods punished me yesterday. Used 3 (175) dmg Acklay Bones on 2 Ph's and a Stun Baton.


All spd slices, not even good ones . . .

I say slice em always. You win some you lose some. Just got a 29% damage and 33% damage slice on some 315 max geos. Hit 390 and 418 max damage respectively. Made 2 dxr's though and both got speed slices. 434 and 474 still not bad damage but i used 97 max tissues on 474 max one.
