Thread: Slacker Guide Substitute Resources

Hi folks I've been using the slacker guide to master Weaponsmith. I've just made advanced munitions. So I went out to gather the resources needed for making heavy warheads. And after searching all over Corbantis I was unable to find any Hydron-3 or Skevon Gas or any Thoranium Steel as the schematic called for?
Are there any alternatives to these specific" named" resources I can use? Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any suggestions would be great here. Thanks folks.
And just anFYI the Slacker's guide is great when combined with the macro in the stickies as well. So if anyone is considering making a Weaponsmith, the information on macros and the Slackers guide are like printed gold!

Nope when a schem calls for a named resource only that resource will do, i waited 3 months for haydron to spawn.

i did the grind on shdowfire a little while ago. I did the same thing as you and ground my way to munitions 2 before realizing that those particular rersorces haven't spawn on SF in months. I then went with the suggestion of rifle barrels for a while (nearly half of my grind) before deciding to switch to mediums and finished out the grind in 3 days ( instead of the 2 weeks i had eaten up on rifle barrels). My suggestion is go with medium warheads intead of heavy unless you can buy the resorces you need.

I know it's a week later, but if you're still searching, both Skevon and Hydron-3 have current spawns (some skevon on Talus, hydron on naboo and corellia and a few other planets)
Thoranium, I've not noticed in quite a while, unfortunately

You really should have mined it before starting the grind as you were getting your other resources. If you didn't mine beforehand your in big trouble, unlessyou have a lot of money. If you have a little spare cash, then you should ask around in your trade forums. If you don't have the cash, then your in bigger trouble and should rethink your timing of the grind.
Worked well for me at least as a master WS i dont have to ask how many APBH's go into PH and simillar misconseptions that the fast grinders have

You checked everywhere except your survey tools...
There is hydron-3 inert gas on Corbantis right now. There is skevon reactive gas on Corbantis right now. I believe that I saw thoranium steel spawn just last week. At any rate, the gas you need is on most of the planets and will be for a few days.
You probably won't find this stuff on a vendor since the quality is crap and no one else has any use for it. You need to harvest it yourself and the time to do that is NOW.

Was there? crap - musta missed it.
Can you remember what planet it was on?
(Thoranium's all I need so I can get the FS grind going to get FS experimenting)
