i am just starting out on the Weaponsmith profession as well.. its a long grind

any tips for grinding? best weapon to make? etc

any tips would be great !!

It's a very long grind! Well....atleast mine was!

I don't have many tips, but I'll show you how I ground out WS (which I did pretty quick, except for the 1.5 weeks wait for some Thoranium Steel

)

Step 1: Craft metal staffs

Step 2: Learn WS 0010

Step 3: Craft medium warheads (over 100 XP per practice)

Step 4: Learn WS 0020

Step 5: Craft Heavy warheads and get 735 XP per practice from now on.

That's pretty much how mine went. With the exception of the Thoranium Steel problem (Chilastra hadn't had a spawn in about 40-60 days I think), it went without a hitch...

EDIT: Fixed the heavy warheads, they give 735 XP per practice, not 725. Oops

Can confirm the above technique as I'm now 1444 using it. Took about 4-5 hours to get from Nov Artisan to WS xx2x and then its 3-4 hours to Master at my current rate. Cost me 1.8 mil in total, but 1 mil was 100k of the Thoranium Steel as it was some uber batch and all I could get on the server.

On that note, the resources would have been next to impossible to find without the new Galaxy wide search on the bazaar! Can you imagine trawling all the vendors just on 1 planet looking for the specific stuff?!

I'd have to say, I hate grinding through a prof as you get to Master and have NO idea what you're doing but with the exp points needed etc, you really can't make anything decent until you get to the top in AS and WS. Now if you evergo Ranger, what you learn on the way will save you life many many times!

EDIT: just noticed you are on Chimaera too! *doh* Want to get in contact and we can look at a resource share when we are both Master?
