ive recently grinded smuggler x4xx with the thought it would help out my ws business to sell pre-sliced weapons - all it seems to do is ruin my near prefect weapons with crappy 14% slices
what deals do u have with smugglers? i really cant afford to pay 5k per slice as i have lots of weaponsthat need to be sliced, any ideas would make me grateful

Well with me, I bought my 17 year old nephew an account and said I would pay for it, if he went smuggler.
my suggestion would be find a smuggler and work out a trade with him, you supply him with weapon upgrade kits for his proffession and he supplies you with some slices in return.

I did Smuggler myself, just slicing 4, I cant afford to pay for the slices. I run both a sliced and unsclied vendor, although fliffesvin makes alot of good points on this subject I find some people like having a weapon already sliced and it works well for me.
But like fliffesvin said, alot of people prefer to get the slice done themselves, which is why I run 2 vendors.
I used to have a deal with a Smuggler, he did free slices and I provided him with the WUKs and a few spare resources when I had them. Some weaponsmiths I know have a deal where the smuggler gets free weapons in exchange for free slices. If you dont want to slice them yourself then I recommend you find a local Smuggler, in your guild or city if possible and work out a deal that seems equal and fair for both of you, that is the important part.

I'd reccomend only getting your weapons sliced from a master smuggler. Slicing 4 caps at 30% slices, whereas masters can get up to 35%.
As far as deals with smugglers, I'm no help there as I do my own slicing.
Good luck

Here's a thought... I know many will disagree, and I think lots of smiths are split on this subject... but I don't have a sliced weapons vendor anymore. To be perfectly honest, I think I'd lose more money having half of my stock sliced... Because I know, that more than 50% of my sliced weapons will be either speed sliced, or get a really crappy dmg slice. And to be perfectly honest, I am not ready to lose that kind of money, only betting for one or two good slices. Say I make 30 T21s, and have 15 sliced. The other 15, I'll sell for... 10k a piece (example). I get 15 sliced... 13 of those get speed sliced or <20% slices...What are they worth ? 15k... 17k ? Not that much more. The last two weaps get 26% and 30% dmg slices and become fairly good. Now I'd have to up the price more than I'd feel good about, to rake in the money I'd have made selling the lot unsliced. And of course, I'd have to spent cash on having them sliced.. that is some on top of that as well..
As always, several other factors come into play here, but I do business by this principle. No sliced weaps on my vendors. Sure some people will think: baaaah...
But lots of people (majority) I've spoken to, like to have their weapons sliced themselves.. Gives it a more.. personal touch. So I just leave it unsliced, and at a base price. Makes CPU price calculations a lot easier to figure out too
Just my .2

Well from my experience I found having a sliced vendor not to be all that profitable. My main is a Master Smuggler and did some slicing but even at master you have to toss away a lot of inventory. The thing that hit me while slicing for someone was a lot of customers will buy multiple copies of weapons to increase the chances of getting that great slice. I felt by supplying an already damage sliced weapon I was shortchanging not just my smuggler of business but also my weaponsmith of the additional purchases. This plus the loss of the bad slices added up.
Hence no more sliced weapon sales.
Now as to a deal with Smugglers it depends. I only go down to 4k per slice for bulk because even though theres a lot to slice it is still my labor that counts and that doesnt change whether I slice 10 or 100 weapons. You might be able to haggle a smuggler in need down to 3k but it still a labor intensive project.
