They did indeed screw up crafting with this last pastch, but apparently the changes to crafting will be going back to the way they were due to "resounding customer feedback" so things should be getting back to normal soon.

(sorry more than 20 words)

Crafting is back to where it was.

But all those with 12 points made enough schems to last for a long long time that no 10 pt can ever hope to match with the system as it is now.

(For that matter, noone that gets their 12th pt now can match them either, it was a one day change)

Basically all the whinners were proved wrong when the changes went in for one day. Hopefully the Devs will read the possitive feed back and it will be reintroduced.

You're only looking at the 10 good things that happened and ignoring the other 40 bad things. So it should stay in because it there areparts of it that benefits you (and there are parts that hurts you), even though it nerfed professions like BE and Chef?

I went on vaction a few days before the new publish went live. Since then it seems like the world as turned upside down for crafters. Can someone give me a "Lego instruction" explanation of what happened with crafting? No smart-ass remarks please. I've had plenty of posts hijacked and I would really like to find out what's going on with the game when i come back on friday. If you feel you need to PM me do so.

Thanks,

Diable

The whiners were proved wrong? Hmmmm, seems to me the "resounding customer feedback" that they mentioned as the reason for the repeal of the new system would actually the feedbackfrom the "whiners" you're talking about. Wouldn't that prove the whiners right? I mean, they actually listened to us for once.

The "resounding customer feedback" was made by people who hadnr even tried the system before it was even pushed live.

"I mean, they actually listened to us for once. "

Yeah like I said, they listened to a vocal minority who hadnt even tried the changes out for themselves and the silent majority have to suffer for it.

Flip it around. Say it was like that from the begining and the patch put us the way we are now. The same people would have been crying. It never fails that people will cry just cry.

I am not a BE or Chef. I'm a Master WS / Master Artisian / Carbineer. I never plan to be either of them professions so I never looked into it. I never said the system is perfect, but it is better than the system we currently have.

So since the thread was indeed hijacked will someone bring it back on topic and tell me in a list, numbered, with complete sentences, what happened starting with:

1. I logged onto the servers and the first thing that happened was

2. ...

Basically, if you were a 12 point WS on 3/17, your weapons came out much better than before. If you were a 10 point WS on 3/17, your weapons came out about the same or maybea little worse (at least mine did). I only had one schematic come out better that day, though I admit that I wasn't trying to stockpile the improved schematics either. Most of the people here complaining about 'a minority of vocal whiners' are the 12 point smiths who liked the change because it made them 'uber', at the expense of everyone else.

Btw, I'd like to note that most of these 12 point smiths were either against the changes before they were published, or silent. They only changed their position, or spoke up, after they realized the changes would give them a near monopoly on weapons. They use a lot of differentarguments to justify their elitist attitudes, but they are basically just greedy back-stabbing SOBs who are more than happy to screw over the rest of the crafting community for their personal gain (whether it be for money or status).

The lesson for the rest of us 10 point smiths is that you'd better do all you can to get your extra points now (if you want to stay in business, that is). Because the next time SOE tries to push this change on us (in a month or two I'll wager) there will be a very vocal minority of elitist 12 point smiths who won't back the rest of us up. And that is all SOE will need to push the changes through, regardless of what 90% of the crafting community wants.

Okay, I'm done ranting.
