yeh tried standing near crafting station that didnt work either 
tho it was one in city not my own does this matter

Don't use a General Crafting tool, use a Weapons and Droids crafting tool.

ive just started on the grind seen a few posts on the subject so off i went
got me first 35k and got munitions to grind some med warheads but i dont have the schematic available to me
anyone out there have any idea what im doing wrong or what i can do to fix this.

Are you standing near a crafting station when you do this? Schematics for items that need a crafting station to be made will not show up in your crafting tool unless you are standing near one.
Just a guess. I'm going the blaster rifle barrel route myself so I don't know for sure.
