OK I am finaly ready to mass produce weapons and can mass produce everything in the weaponsmith tree.
What I am working on is trying to figure out where to put my experimentation points in the parts and final products in order to get the most effective weapons that will sell.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

For high end weapons, I focus building in the following order: 1) SAC 2) Damage 3) Speed.
My sub-components are experimented on in this order: 1) SAC 2) Speed
Final build experimentation depends on wether I hit the SAC cap on combine, if not I put however many points needed in to SAC, then experiment on damage, leftover points go to speed. If the SAC cap is hit on combine, I go straight to damage experimentation.
These methods yield some very nice weapons, and are probably similar to how most smith's build their weapons.

On sub comps, I max SAC then put the rest of my points into speed.
On regular off the shelf weapons, I max damage then the rest into speed. Unless specifically asked for SAC to be capped.
On loot made weapons, at least with carbines and rifles, I cap SAC. Then damage, and anything left over into speed.

I take a little different tack:
I make 2 sets of subs, 1 for low-end "grinding" weapons, 1 for higherlevel weapons.
For the grinding weapons, I experiment 1) speed 2) SAC
For higher lvl weapons 1)SAC 2) speed
Reasoning is thus: for the grinder, your weapon speed is not all that great, so you need the speed help (plus just trying to get a shot in for the xp). as the grinder is looking for higher CL weapons, SAC becomes important, so I tailor the subs toward that.
For custom builds, I almost always hand make the subs to cater to the whims of the buyer and the enhancers provided.
