Being a new Weaponsmith I'm puzzled at the use of Power Hammers. What I refer to is their lack of accuracy and the Master Swordsmans accuracy.
Master Swordsman = 130two handed accuracy.
These big Acklay 600Dmg hammers -41 accuracy.
Master Swordsman total: 130 - 41 = 89 accuracy
Do you not miss A LOT?! Especially, when fighting a defense stacker in PvP?
I've made some Power Hammers at 450-525 Damage(AfterSlice)with +0 to +5 accuracy and can't seem to sell them well.
Do you not want accuracy or is all about the Damage? If it's damage.....i will stop making accurate hammers.
Any input appreciated.

Against normal fencer's I hit about 90% of the time but against defense stackers i hit about 60% of the time, but it doesn't matter much because i'm speed capped and the dmg on PH's is pretty high, most swordsman prefer to use the scythe because it's faster and generally a better pvp weapons so the PH is more of a pve wep, hope I helepdy ou out a bit

Mainly because if you've experimented the accuaracy out that far, the speed on the hammer becomes a drawback. Especially if you got it damage sliced.
I mean when you have a damage sliced accuracy hammer that only does as much damage as a non-sliced normal hammer? Not the best of combinations.

Well, a scythe is much facter, and is more accurate than almost any hammer, so that's what I usually go with. You can cap a typical scythe with 85 or 86 spd, you need 93-94spd to cap a hammer, that's a lot of extra speed.

My Power Hammers are 5.5 to 6.0 Speed and 450-525 Damage with Accuracy +0,+0,+0 thru +0, +4,+2
Those are Damage sliced.
I use Geonosian Reinforement Cores as they seem to get the Better accuracy modifiers coupled with the decent damage.

You're point seems valid, as the acc mods on most "uber" hammers suck, but if you ever watch a swordsman fight, we just don't miss much. I can't explain it in numbers or equations, but I can tell you from personal experience that swordsman miss extremely rarely, except against defense stackers in PvP, and since I'm a master doc/swordsman and detest PvP unless it's defending jedi friends from BH's, I could care less about the accuracy on my acklay hammer. When I swing it at elders and krayts and the like I would guestimate that I hit around 95-99% of the time *this is of course a guess, and there's no hard evidence to back it up*. If I were you, though, I would be pushing my dmg as high as it can possibly get and spd as low as you can becuse those two stats are what's gonna really sell PH's for you.

The only real reason I can think of for using powerhammer over swords and axes, would be for the blast damage. Most people will have some serious kinetic resistance, so it makes a worthwhile secondary weapon.

All,
Thanks for the Help.
I will shift them to Max damage over accuracy in the Future.

Heh, i just put this in another thread, but also if you carry marksman 0001 you can use /aim to boost your accuracy. It stacks up to 3 times and last for 8 rounds. Toss a citrus snowcake on there and beat the hell out of fencers. It makes em wonder where their defenses went.

At a max of 525damage you're better off going with a Scythe. It has a higher minimum damage, faster and better accuracy mods.
Regular 35% dmg slice hammers barely beat out 30%+dmg sliced scythes for raw damage in PvP, after mitigation. Thats if you're speed capped, if not, then its nowhere close for the hammer.
As for PvE, accuracy doesn't matter. You just won't miss.

When I make the advanced cores, it takes about ten tries to get an amazing success(not the experimentation). I have made about 35 power hammers and I cant get any amazing success rates. Weapon assembly +110, weapon experimentation +100, 15.0 crafting tool 43.2 crafting station. Is it possible for me to get an amazing success on a power hammer?
