I've never seen a looted rifle barrel, pistol barrel, blaster power handler, etc...worthy of putting into a weapon since the CU.

The looted scopes are almost always better since they have a speed reduction and accuracy doesn't currently do anything anyways.

The stocks can be useful. For example, for my PvP toon, I made a tusken rifle the other day. I used a looted stock and with a damage slice and pup, I was able to get 530+ min damage, 2.45 speed, and 98 sac. This toon has no rifle speed mods, so this is just a long range weapon.

As far as advanced crafted sub components, I believe the hard cap for speed is -2.00, and sac is -10. Not sure about damage, as this depends on loot used. And there may be no max damage cap. I would put minimum damage cap between 25-30, never tried.

Scopes, not sure about hard caps on the crafted ones.

Stocks, the SAC caps at -25, and the speed a 0.00.
