I have some nice tissues (188 damage) and i want to use them to make the best pistol possible. I also have a DE-10 schem and barrel (Not yellow). I would like an opinion on what would get the best results for DPS as i have not seen any DE-10's that have been crafted on my server after the CU.
So please tell me what pistol out of all pre CU types and post CU type should i put my tissues in to , to get myself a pistol to be proud of?
Thought it makes sense to ask on weaponsmith's forum as you guys see more guns than anyone

I'm not a weaponsmith, but I've been following this sort of thing pretty closely...
Probably a DL 44 XT or FWG5 or DX2.
Although the cool factor of the DE-10 is still very tempting... It just doesn't look like it'll beat the stats of those other ones.

all the pistols i have made have consistent DPS of around 310-314, so the best bang for your buck is single tissue guns
If you are a BH, then the scatter is a good option, otherwise go for the DL44 XT. Both take one tissue so you will get loads of pistols with your tissues, and get a craft and slice result. Make sure your smith has pre-cu barrels and scopes. ask him what his exp top% is for those guns too. if its less than 90 use a different smith.

you guys are right in a sense about the dl44xt's, scatters, dx2s, republics etc, but you're missing one thing - all of those pistols have skill certs. The de10 is special in that its a level 54 weapon with no skill certs, making it an extremely usefull and marketable weapon. If/when he goes to sell it, he'll have bounty hunters, pistoleers, smugglers, squad leaders... everyone who can use a pistol will be wanting that gun -making up for the fact that he's using multiple tissues on it.

does the DL44 XT have a skill cert? - thought it was a level 54 generic

Yep, no skill cert, and it is still better and easier to make than the DE-10.

it used to be master smuggler.. did they remove that? If so, no reason not to make it with the easy resource requirements.

Nope, definitely no cert on it any more. The master smuggler weapon is the Renegade.

I can tell you right now that Scatter is better than a DE-10, not only in stats but for the fact you can make 3 scatters with the same tissues as 2 DE-10 (then you gotta get a barrel + schem). I haven't compared the DE-10 to the DL-44 side by side with same tissues, but even if they were very close, DL-44 XT will win out because it uses just 1 tissue.
