Thread: Just brought my weaponsmith out of retirement and having problems.......
Lot of posts about this, but I can kind of sum it up for you. The consensus seems to be to max the speed on components and damage on weapons. Leftover points can go in either damage or efficiency on comps; speed, eff or elemental damage on weapons. But the highest DPS always seems to come from speed/damage on comps and damage/speed on weapons. Play around with it and see what sells.
Pre CU comps are superior in everything. I used mine up figuring a hotfix would take care of that. If you have any, you can either craft the best weapons you can or hoard them and treat them like pre nerf FWG5's.
FWIW, I was out of the game 6 months and came back like you did. Fortunately I had some really good stuff in my backpack and in the bank. Did a lot of bottom feeding when several WS went out of business. Between that nad just some dogged searching for resources, I've been able to get back up and running in a couple of months.
But I think it's a good time to get back in. With several WS quitting, relatively inexpensive resources and high demand due to the CU, sales are good. I'm not crazy about the combat changes, but it has reinvigorated sales.
