Thread: Question for the CU WS Experts

Right I know that a lot has changed in the CU and really im confused a fair bit on weapons and armour but slowly but slowly working it all out. Anyway bear with me and please read all of this.
Anyway my"main"question(s) is how good can you make Rocket Launchers? I know that they are the biggest pain in behind to make but im curious about certain things and ill need an expert WS to tell answer i think. So the real meat of things then.
If the Proton 'nades used in the manufacture are high dmg etc will it make the final stats of the Rocket Launcher better? If that is the case what looted items can be used to make Proton 'nades more damaging? I know Ackley Venom can be used in Cyros etc so can something similar (other than Klikklik Glands) be used to make prtons better?
Also what can be used to modify Rocket Launchers (bearing in mind the above) better and is it worth looting these items. Now i presume its Gorax Shards which i have plenty stashed of so getting them isnt a problem but will it be worth my while?
Finally and I dont really expect this one to be answered but what is the highest base DPS on a crafted post CU Rocket Launcher folks have seen?
The reason im asking all this is I discovered (much to my suprise) that RL's are pretty sweet in mass PvP battles. They even have their uses on 1 on 1 but in a big mass they are surprisngly effective.
Anyway any input would be apreciated.

Proton nades didnt used to effect the final build, so probably dont now.
Goraxcan beused - you will need 9 identical
Krayt can be used - you will need 5 identical.
Since its level 22, suspect you will hit caps with just the kryat, but that is a guess.
Im going to make some tongiht to test the group PvP theory.

In big pvp battles they arent good because of the dmg they do. They are good because the first shot is an automatic KD and they have a range of 65m. Also as im a Master Smuggler too I can apply my roots and other states from long range. So the first shot off on a new target will KD and Root (with Concussion shot) if it hits. As a Smuggler I should be playing crowd control anyway but the added bonus of the Commando weapons means I can dish the damage and apply states plus do two tasks for base take down.
