Hey guys, im really not a full time WS. I have a 12 point smith but my main is a MBH. I think I just thru 1.5 mill down the drain. Here is what I bought (Krayt Tissues: 5x, 132, -0.72 : 1.5 mil)

Here is what I made:
HLR
2.61
386-1005
Element: 40
Acc Bonus: 10
Sac: 94

Heck the ABPHs were like 180 dmg and -1.8 speed or something like that
My crafting tool is 15.00 and my station is 44.83blahblah. I used both foods.
Tell me, please how you would have made this gun if you had these tissues. My materials are good-great, mostly great. Did I screw up or am I just being lame? Where would you have put your 12 points in each of the items needed? Which stocks and scopes should i have used? Man I think I suck, thanks guys.

Ive actually made a better HLR with weaker tissues but I forgot what I did.

I would have lowered the SAC a bit.
Experiment Speed and SAC on the Stock, Speed and a few on Accuracy on the Scope.
Damage on the Barrel. SAC on the final assembly with a bit in Damage.

Your final piece would be a little lower on the damage.

My 2 cents.

I dont know what you did wrong exactly, but you should have came a lot closer to 1100 damage, and maybe even a little lower SAC. Sorry to hear bout this gone awry.

I think its a combination of some average resource usage, coupled with components which were built incorrectly.

To properly assess the problem, why dont you list the stats on each of the components you used, plus (and this will need server spcific advice, the materials you used in making em.

This is the sort of issue which this forum should be able to sort out pretty quickly for you

Looking again, if the ABPHs were 180 using 132 tissues it seems you put some Exp points into damage when making the ABPHs. Experimenting damage on ABPHs is a waste, you only increase damage one point with every Exp point used.

That may be where the answer lies.

I could see this happening if you didn't use a Stock. The stock would have reduced most of your need to lower the SAC, in which case if you didn't use one it looks like you put a good amount of points into the SAC instead of maxing out the damage. This is what happens with Acklay bones because there is no mechanism to reduce the SAC, you end up spending too many points trying to lower it and the end product lacks the damage it should have had.

I'd say, next time just make sure you spend all the points you can in damage before bothering with anything else. If the SAC ends up high because you didnt use a stock, or the speed ends up high because you used a stock that added too much to the speed, at least you'll still have gotten the full potential out of the tissues and can offer a high-damage weapon.

ABPH should be SAC then Spd. I do 8 in sac, 4 in spd on most.

Sounds like u just used bad resources on the gun. On chilastra for 132 max tissues you would hit about 1080 using the very best resources.

If you're using crafted post-CU components i'd recommend getting SAC down on all components then putting the spare into speed (speed and acc on scopes). That way you should only have to spend one, or maybe two, points to get SAC capped on the final weapon. On the final weapon put as much into damage as you can and use any spare points as you see fit to tweak the weapon to your needs, but speed is usually best if SAC is capped.

As to the damage, I can't even begin to guess what happened. With 132 tissues you should have been looking at approx 1080-1085damage after experimenting.

Take heart in the fact that tissues around that damage area are quite common,it won't be very tough or expensive to buy another set to try again.
