I have been away from ws for a while, but as I almost have my 12-point suit completed, I thought I'd ask this.

How does the modifier from loot affect the final outcome of the weapon?

I.e. if I make some abph's with +180 max dam tissues and use these in weapons, does that mean that the weapons will have +180 max damage (apart from damage caps of course) or how does it work?

Basically, take a standard unenhanced weapon and add the stats from the enhancement.

Thanks for the reply - which was what I had hoped

Basically thats right, but keep in mind the difference between enhancers and components that replace others (like acklay bones)

In the 2nd case the stats from the replaced part (acklay bone for reinforcement core) have to be considered too

Also, speed is different in that speed from components only affects the weapon speed by 10% of the component speed, so if you make krayt handlers that are -2.0 speed, they will actually only reduce speed on the weapon by .2

...additionally, keep in mind that some weapons will be close to cap before you even assemble so using that 180+ tissue on an old school DH17 would hit the cap without much effort.

Be sure to know the weapons you're making.

The best advice I give is to grind out a new ranged or melee player. This will give you the closet real application of the weapons to be used. Since grinding my new BH I've learned ALOT about weapons which I would have never known unless I had done this.

I would make a weapons for myself as I progressed and had been able to judge the vaule of them to get a better grip on which types should be ran for production. It's good to know what the newr players will be requesting nad unless you know first hand you may have a problem supplying the demand.

Then there's specialty only crafting. This is the best option if you're able to do so...
