What do other smiths go for in your stocks? All to sac or do you try to get down the speed penalty as well.
I so far have been hittin -17sac and dumping the rest into speed. What seems to be the best breaking point in sac?
TIA

In my adv stocks I put everything into sac first, then speed next. Mainly due to the fact that you can get dmg and speed slices but not sac slices. I am getting -19 on my adv stocks which equate to around 93 upon assembly, therefore I can devote more exp towards dmg in the finished product.
However, keep in mind that I am a noob ws and this is just what I have found. If one of the more experienced weaponsmith's have better input I also would be more than happy to hear it. *looks at shug and build-er* ![]()

Funny thing is that pre-CU WS like myself still have converted stocks with -20 SAC and zero speed mod. Therefore, 0 experience with the new ones

Hmm so far I've been turning out -20 to -21 SAC stocks. Though they have a speed penalty which I tend to counter with a speed slice. (I'm only a 10pt WS atm. but I might hit 12pt very soon. Got some tapes on my own and i'm recently trading a really killer LS tape to a guildmate for his old WS suit as he's given up the profession)

The best i have heard of was getting the SAC to -24.
The current trend is to max out SAC and put the rest into speed. The -24 really goes a long way to making low SAC rifles and carbines.

There are looted "advanced weapon stocks" that are NOT the same as the imperial ones.
I have some that are around 35/35 -.7 -20 sac.
