Anyone tried this on weapons like HLR's that do elemental damage? What does it do to the damage types?

I made a test HLR with a loot scope...it went to blast dmg but i never checked the elemental

lol did yours become blast damage. I just crafted one with some of the new dropped comps insanely sweet but it is blast damage so insanely usless

hmm the one I made has 51 elemental damage with nearly the same other stats... what would you call that?

So it seems that only I AM bugged? Why do my blast damage weapons deal same damage as energy weapons with same stats? Lol..
