I have been a weaponsmith since launch and there seems to be a piece I am missing comprehension of. Sometimes when I create weapons the scopes, stocks, and even sometimes barrels appear while other times they do not. Anyone know what I am doing wrong? Do specific weapon classes, IE carbinesversus pistols, take specific type scopes for them to appear?

Your doing nothing wrong i think that is just how the game shows the weapons.

You have to remove the scope/stock/barrel from the crate before you apply it to the weapon you're crafting. And your result must be hand-crafted. Weapons created from a factory will never show these mods althought the weapon's stats will reflect them.
And then some specific weapons will never show scopes/stocks/barrels. For example, a scout blaster's appearance will never change, but scopes/stocks/barrels will allappear on a laser rifle/carbine. T21s can show stocks and barrels, republic blasters never change, DL44s show barrels and scopes, Jawa rifles never change, etc...
Any weapon that can take a scope can take any type of scope.
And lastly, scopes/stocks/barrels will never show up on a weapon to anyone else while a person is wieldingit. The only way for others to see these mods is if youplace it in your structure.

And the barrel for the T21 always points down for some reason. It is so ugly. Also, I can never get the rifle/pistol barrels to look like what I chose it to when I attach them to a gun.

The trick for t21 is to actually leave the barrel in the crate and it will look right after you craft it.

It would be nice for factory made items to show stocks and stuff, but then again some parts just look ugly. Stocks and scopes look great on a Elite carbine for example, but a barrel ruins it.
Also I think the fact that noone else can see what stocks and suchyou have on a gun you're holding is for performance reasons.

The Disruptors always have the scope and stock and barrel, because without them it would look just like *gasp* the DXR6 Carbine! Wonder where they got the art from... (Put those parts on a DXR6 by hand and you'll have a gun that looks idential to a DXR6b Disruptor rifle)

Yeah, have to Hand Craft. Here is a list of things which I almost always crate since no Visible thangs show. ALSO, TIP -> SAY it has a Scope or Stock on weapon NAME for thosethat show since folks will not look at Ideal or HAM to identify the ones which do and the Vendor Display does not show them. User will Not see until in their hands. MAX HP RULES, apparently.
NO SHOW WEAPONS
Scout, Republic, DH17 Pistol, Tangle, Dx2, Flamer, Hvy Acid Rifle, Light Lightning Cannon, DLT20 and 20a, E-11 Rifle, Tuskin and SG82.
Plus the Melee weapons show nothing optional. Would be nice if they Glowed, Changed Color, Etched Blade Designs, or Something, at least when Enhanced in some manner <shrug>
OOOooo Lookie Here - On the metal it says 'Shop At BDE's' when you stop the blade from spinning - lol

You can get certain scopes to show on DX-2s and E11 rifles. Forget which ones though...

I can see the stocks and scopes on Tenloss rifles other people are holding - is that an exception to the rule ? I'm going to have to craft one without a stock or scope and give it to someone to test out so I can see if it shows.
