Thread: Starting Weaponsmith Need advice

ok, i am about to go master weaponsmith with my new char, that i got from my JEDI! 
, i would like to know some pointers? what do i craft to grind through weaponsmith? what do resources need to have? like UT?SR?OQ? stuff like that? and i a weaponsmith tool set as well, i got a crafting station 45.000 and crafting tool 15.00, is the grind hard?long? and how much of every resource type am i going to need to last me a while?

If you want to compete you need the best oq/cd(ranged) and sr(melee) resources on the server, lots of different ones and many named resources (like ostrine carbonate ore for example)

Lotsof the best melee and ranged resources currently and from previous spawns, look to pay many fortunes in accumulating this.Survey and harvest as much as you can on your own even as you level. My earliestmineral harvestings are still some of my best (Erobase Polysteel-Starsider). As for quantity well I feel as much as you can possibly get and then some. I probably have over 30 million units of resources easy (storage becomes a giant issue)
Even after I hit Master it was 3-4 months until I really felt like I was a Master Weaponsmith, both due to the resource accumulation, as well as really knowing what the outcomes of various experimental techniques were on sub-components and final builds.
It can be lot of hard work, but really, Weaponsmith crafting is what keeps me playing. It's a great profession (I even like multi planet surveying- finding a great desnity on a sweet resource is the best 'loot' around)

in the guide to WS STICKIED! up at the top is a resource char showing what specific resoruces and what qualities matter for said resources. there is no set answer for all WS resources..
meh . . jedi, what do they know. . ..

rifle and pistol barrels = con/sr
Sword and Reinforcement cores = UT
Melee Weapons= SR
