I keep getting customers asking me to make them a "Crystal Rifle". I'm told it is a quest I can run down in the caves, but I cannot find any information on it here in the forums.

Anyone have any information on this, or is there something I am missing here?

Its not a rifle its a knife. Nak'tra crystal knife. You need to talk to the weaponsmith in the caves you get a quest to make 5 of them. You need 3 each or a total of 15 crystals to finish this quest. Once done you get the schematic to use anytime you wish. Each knife after that will require 3 more crystals. But there is no crystal rifle that i know of.

Yes, I did the knife quest. Is that the only quest out there?

I'm hoping I didnt buy the expansion JUST for that. ROFL!

The rifle is a drop from the named bug (Nefarious or something) in those same caves (rare drop i believe), not exactly an impressive weapon...however it does look...well wierd

There is a crystal rifle, had something to do with a reward for a smuggler quest in the caves. When we explained to the design dev in the boards during beta, that smugglers can't use rifles (don't think the CU weapon level thing was changed by that time.) she said she would work to make a crystal pistol. I'm guessing she either didn't end up getting to it or since the weapon level thing was introduced, didn't see making a crystal pistol as worthwhile any more. Either way, I don't think its a schematic, simply a reward.

The Smuggler mission is for a DL 44 called "Black Falcon".

Part of the quest has you retrievinga crate of crystal rifles, but like every other quest you never actually get them, just the message on your screen that you got the item.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

Well in beta there was an actual crystal rifle you recieved as a quest reward. I saw the screenie of it. A bit odd looking.

There is a crystal rifle that is a quest reward in live, but I don't know which quest it is. There is someone selling one on my galaxy trade forums.
