Just got Master Weaponsmith the other week so i'm still quite new. I've made a schematic for power handlers but i dont want to drop it into a factory if they are not very good, i used the best resources i could find, i dont think anything was below 900 for the stats that mattered.

Min Damage: 9

Maximum Damage: 18

Attack speed:-0.47

Sounds rubbish to me, but then i've only just started!

Any comment would be appreciated!

Thanks

You Just made master, and now you are trying to learn about the profession...man...holo grinding has turned our profession into rubbish...

Anyway to answer your question THAT powerhandler is fine, but you will find the Advanced Power Handlers are much better for most occasions good resources will net you something like 19/40 -.40 stats. But since you must have grinded only to master Im thinking you probably dont have a good stockpile of resources to make the good stuff...ah well www.swgcraft.com is your friend, and foomans weaponsmithing tool on the weaponsmith forums of that site is the best thing to happen to SWG...

Actually the reason i grinded straight to master is so that i would have all the schematics available andall theexperimentation points to play with. I didnt grind it for a holo i learnt the profession because i wanted to be a dedicated WS crafting good quality weapons. I am aware of the Advanced Blaster Power-handlers and i am keeping an eye out for all the resources for all the advanced range of schematics as and when they spawn.

There was really no need to come charging in here telling me how grinding straight to Master make me abad WS and i dont appreciate it.

Take your self righteous snobbery somewhere else thank-you.

For those of you who can answer questions without having your head up you own butt, here are the resorces i used:

Ore: OQ 991

Inert Petro: OQ 900

Gas:OQ 982

Copper: OQ:975 C:935

Can't seem to experiment it any further than the stats in my first post though

Those are the max stats posiible for a normal blaster power handler. They are very good and you will be able to make decent weapons with them. You will want to start getting the materials for the advanced components though (some of which seem to never spawn). You should not have a problem selling weapons made with those. Good luck and welcome to the trade

theoretical resource max for the schematic is 10-20 -.5... These handlers you've made sound about what I was making my first month as master also... Things just improved from there over time... 6 months later and we still don't have near perfect resources on alot of things.... BUT all things have shown improvement (or at least little degradation with great resource running out)... Keep at itand you will get better... It's definately something you can't do overnight but you've got a good start with some of these materials you have listed...

It's really hard to compare something someone older as a smith has made to something you are making... Find theserequired resources and establisha baseline for yourself on your available materials... When something better comes along you can replace it...

I work with a fewof the younger smiths on my server to try and pass on the knowledge that i've gained over time and this is how we do it... I don't hold anything back from them and I'm not worried about competition (it's just a game and community means more to me)... I welcome it in fact...Someday they will take away some of my clientele from me and ease my burdens

I ground out master WS for a holo, but have kept it now for almost a month, why wouldI learn anything about the prof until after you master. Without the exp points of masteryou cant make anything thats worth will fly off the shelfs. Why would I waste my steel with 1000SR on melee weapons before i hit master? I just kept my eyes open for the right resources so that I could make decent weapons.

Very respectable PH there. Like many have said, start getting resources to make the Advanced...

My current run of APH are 21/41(42?)/-.41

All my resources are over 900 in primary stats except for my Polymer - that is only 888.

A polymer a few days a go with a OQ of 908 not sure if thats enough to make a differance.

Some 860 OQ Ostrine just spawned on Bloodfin, not holding my breath for a huge difference, making 20-41, -0.41 now with the following stats:

996 Poly
998 Iroluun (almost gone, :cry
986 CR/917 OQ copper
690 Ostrine

Hmm.. my ABPH comes out at 19-39, -.39. Yeah.. I only have ~550 OQ Ostrine

How does this translate to a gun, compared to one made with a 20-40, -.40 ABPH? Would it actually be .1 second slower?

i made a scout blaster tonight with those stats on an advance handler.the blaster turned out
72/149 at 1.9 speed. not too bad it also has an advance barrel gonna see if its even worth it to put advance barrels on em.
