That rifle was made with some VERY nice krayt tissue (assuming it didn't have a power-up on it to get those stats.) If you picked it up for 12k, someone screwed up badly. When they listed it, they missed a pair of zero's. Either that or the account was sold, and the new owner had no clue what they were looking at.

for your second, cubes can't be added to a laser rifle.

Also, laser rifles don't sell that much because their high max damage is offset by their very low min damage. This, combined with AP3 on the T21 with same damage type, and the high min/range/acid damage of the DXR tend to keep laser rifles down in the realm of grinders.

Before the T21 and DXR, however, the laser rifle was about as prevalent as the T21 now.

OK.

Laser rifles can only have krayt tissues. Can't use geonosian cubes.

It was made with some very nice tissues and probably priced wrong. That, or it was a hidden suprise on a vendor and you found it.

As far as a custom one getting better than that one, it will all depend on the tissues. Looks like that one was made with around +100 max damage tissues. You find higher damage tissues and you could obviously get higher damage. Another option is(if you're not a speed capped rifleman) to go with a form fitted stock(from imp theme park), lose about 10-15 on top and bottom end, but trim whatever speed penalty from an advanced weapon stock and then another half a second off the speed.

As a non-weaponsmith, I have a question I hope I can get some help with. I recently purchased a stocked and scoped laserrifle with amazing stats for 12k. The speed was like 3.8 and the dmg was 91-548 unsliced. With my DMG slice it's close to 700 max dmg.

This seems like a pretty potent weapon for the fraction of the cost of many comparable weapons. My question is could you add Geo Cubes & Krayt tissues to the stock and scope when making a custom laser carbine or rifle to give it really insane stats? if so, I wonder why more players don't go this route? It does have medium AP. And if they can be Krayt and Geo'd as well as stocked and scoped, wouldn't this be an easier combine for Weaponsmiths making for a larger profit margine on your end as well? An everybody wins situation?
