Other than making vehicles, getting the badge and making some archi components. Is Master Artisan helpful to a weaponsmith?

Thanks

Yes some Weapons need components from Master Artisan, a Stun Baton for example.

I bought a few dozens crates of components from a master artisan a few months back and I still have not used them up. There is little need for a weaponsmith to be a master artisan as there are plenty of people in the game who would be willing to make you a schem or supply you with parts. You can't swing a dead Jawa in SWG without hitting a master artisan...

Spraystick uses Control Units. I've gotten a few orders for Spraysticks mostly from people grinding Marksman/Rifleman.

Personally, Master Artisan just made sense for me. I'm a Master Weaponsmith/Tailor with a bit of merchant. I harvest my own minerals as well. So i am activly using all 4 lines of Artisan, so i grabbed the master box so that i could make any components i needed, as well as weapon powerups, repair tools, vehicles, customization kits, and any other artisan goods that would sell.

I was actually thinking only a couple of days ago of dropping one tree of Artisan to get myself a bit more Carbine firepower for defence when out surveying, as i'm fed up of being incap'd while servicing harvs etc

A factory run of Power Conditioners / Control Units / Speeders and I doubt i'd need to get it back again but even if I do it takes about 5 minutes to grind the final tree.

You don't need to use them. They are optional and add nothing to the stats of the gun.

Just goes to show that i'm still learning. i didn't know what stats the Control Unit would have effected, but i did'nt know that they made no difference in the end product. thanks for the info

Now think how nice it would be if they made the control units increase the crappy range mods. Maybe even to different degrees depending on the quality of the unit, kinda like they do for crafting stations. Wait, making something already there functional would be asking too much. nvm.

This post is brought to you by the letter G

I'm a forum poster that used to craft weapons, but now has nothing to craft...so I post about it. Give me a role to play and I'll be a player that posts again.

I agree, I don't think the usefulness of Master Art. outweighs the SP use.
