has anyone found them on nyms guards? are they only droped by elite guard?

Been trying to get some but im either Competing with someone for the guards or they only spawn on a 24 hour timer and someone is beating me to them most of the time.

Ive found nomotors but I have found 3 High Velocity Feed mechanisms and a rifle barrel thing, Both of with are used in the manufacture of weapons. Cant remmeber the order but i *believe* I got the feed mechs off a standard gaurd and the barrel off an Elite.

I think their there but just have to keep digging.

Try Nym's Brawlers.They drop motors much more often in my experience...however, it's to be noted that I was finding and keeping/using these to make sweet VKs months ago before they were common knowledge, this is before they changed Nym's and their faction points associated, so it could have changed. VKs means little to nothing now.

*VKs means little to nothing now.* You mean motors of Vibro Knucklers? Iuse knucklersin Extended fight situations (Kimogilas, Rancors, anything that lasts more than 15 seconds) for added damamge, but my current set is 50/1000 as of last night (real nice set 73-190 damage 33% damage slice).

Was hoping to upgrade to something with some real punch to it.

That's just the thing, to a master, the far majority of the time, the time it takes to kill something with and without VKs is within a second or two of each other. It's those biggens...your rancors (bulls and such), maulers, frenzied grauls, Kimos, the big stuff that your VKs are handy for cause you're armored up and specials are for the most part out of the question HAM-wise so every regular hit has to count. With an advanced core from a master smith good enough, I've got a 41-194 VK sliced. No special components...just buy them by the crate, get them all sliced and keep for the speed ones for my beginning pre-TK students to use to speed them up. Rest I keep for me as backups. They've (thankfully) become less of an issue and I can now actually be UNARMED...that's another thread though.

Just as a note, I've found that many people are willing to trade vibromotors and low-grade Kryat tissue (+30 -.3)for high-velocity feed mechs. If you post on your server forum that you want to trade, you'll almost certainly get a few takers.

I find more high velocity feed mechs than vibromotors too. Luckily, they seem to be pretty liquid.

The real issue is there needs to be:

A. alternate sources of Vibro motors

B. more frequent drops of Vibro motors.

I have given up entirely my knuckles and it is really crying shame because I enjoyed them, but standard vibro knuckles are IMHO just more trouble than help.

Jawas also drop motors. Different, and more for low level tka's.

They give bonuses of +5 to min, max and -.5 to speed. Nifty.

Nyms give +20 and +@4 to damage that I have seen.

People on my server claim to also have higher than +24 and another nym type that increased wound %, which would be narsty for PvP stuff. (ouch that tickles!)

I am bonking my head trying to find these things. Anyone know where they drop? No one is selling, I was thinking about going to the planet they drop (or are they rewarded), and yelling my face off.

Any help will be appreciated.

Elite Nym Guards drop them on Lok

Hey I was wondering if there is a mob to target to loot one of these. Or is it just random all together?

If you mean Blade Vibro Units, i looted 3 off a Tuskan Raider last night. They aren't bad.
