Are you a master Artisan?
Experimentation on powerups is based on the artisan skill, not weapon experimentation.

Okay, now I feel a little better. you mean I have been grinding up weaponsmith for nothing grrrrrr. well I didn't need those4days and 200,000 credits after all.
Also, I've found that if you experiment one box at a time, you will often get 3-4 areas of powerbuffs, instead of just 2.

Aye, as has been said, Powerups come from the Artisan line, at Master Artisan youll end up with 11 points to Experiment with, strange but true.
On Ahazi, I use a 985 OQ Alum, and a 990 OQ Polymer, and get 32.83% Powerups. I have a small stack of Iron with 997 OQ, which get me a 33.16% final product, but in all honesty 0.4 difference doesnt mean much.

Master Artisan get 10 points, and huamens get one point extra.
I thought power ups were based on Conductivity not OQ. It's been a while since i slapped one together so ignore me if i'm wrong.

I might be wrong here but I thought no points were granted at MA level unless it's been reworked - Enginerring 4 and Domestic 4 gives you all the points. Which was why, pre-vehicles, poor MA's had not much to boast about?
