I just made a DL44 Pistol for a customer who wanted it for it's looks. I used the Type 7 (I think) big white scope, and the white funnel-like blaster pistol barrel.
Not being a total newb, I knew that I would have to hand craft the barrel, the scope, and the pistol. Factory made parts are out. So I did that. And I assembled the pistol, and examined it. It shows the scope and white barrel. I equipped it and zoomed out to have a look. I could see myself holding a DL44 Pistol with a white scope and barrel. I gave it to the customer and when he equipped it I saw it as a regular DL44 Pistol with a standard barrel and no scope. After some experiments, it became obvious that only the wielder sees the pistol as modified, everyone else sees a default weapon.
Did I do something wrong in the crafting process? Has anyone else encountered/circumvented this?
Thanks,

This is to prevent lag, imagen 1000 players with all different weapons.. too much to load

I don't have anyway to experiment with this, but what if you set the weapon in a house. Would it look standard, or special.

It will look special as evidence, I have an EE3 carbine in a display case that is both stocked and scoped. . .Boba Fett would be jealous of it
