Thread: Experimentation tape question

Greets ...
Put your mouse over the 100/+... and you will see a fly out that tells you what you have.
Mine tonight read 100/120 ... I should have 12 exp points but for some reason when I go to experiment I only have 11 :-(
(just bout +5 gloves tonight, and am disgusted that I don't have my 12 point)
Take clothes off and put them back on, sometimes the bonuses don't "take"

Also I think that 11 is the maximum number of experimentation points you can have. Anyone know of a good place to buy tapes on Tempest?

Yep...12 is the maximum experiment points you can have. The max skill that the skill can be at is 125 which equals 12 experiment points.....1 per 10 skill level..thats why a master gets 10 experiment points at 100 skill.

Each 10+ gets you 1 extra experimentation point.
DOH!
LOL No wonder!!
Ack - I was so excited about this -- now I'll have to find a tape with three points. This really sucks actually -- I'm a wookie, and don't think we have enough clothing to hold enough skill tapes to get those extra points : (

Huh?
At 100 skill you get 10 points.
At 110 skill you get 11 points.
At 120 skill you *SHOULD* get 12 points.
Are you saying I need to get 5 more points to get my 12th?
As far as on/off ... I have done that several times including taking everything off, logging out, and putting stuff back on.
I have verified that every "piece" works by putting something on, checking, taking it off, putting something else on and every piece does give me what it should ... and when they are all on, my fly over reads 120.
So ... the real question is: How many points do I need to get 12 exp points? and please only answer if you *have* 12 exp points ... and how many *points* do you have? 120 or 120+? maybe due to flaky math I need to have 1 more point? 121 maybe?
(I actually have like 7 +1 tapes left over that I collected before I realized I could only have 1 of each kind of tape in any piece of clothing).
I thought that might be the case, about only being able to have one type of skill mod in each clothing piece.
So as a bothan I can wear:
- Boots/shoes
- Pants
- Shirt
- Jacket
- Gloves
- Backpack
Right? Anything I am missing? Right now I have a pair of gloves with +1 and a +1 tape that I haven't put into anything. Maybe I should learn from your mistakes, Hero, and stop collecting +1 tapes in favor of the higher-point tapes. (problem being I can never afford the higher-point tapes because you guys always outbid me) ![]()
So I need a minimum of a +4 tape before I can really consider buying it and putting it in anything because I really only have 5 pieces of clothing I can put the tape into.
dont forget about bandolier, im pretty sure you can socket them
