My guild finally gets 11 sequential Krayt tissues. My resources are all good. I'm wearing my clothing whichhas myskill tapes for assembly and experimentation. I place everything in the slots, click assemble...

Crit failure.

I sat there and looked at the screen for a good 5 minutes with my mouth hanging wide open before I could move again. I felt horrible while trying to explain what happened to my guild. They're the greatest bunch of guys, and all understood that it wan't my fault, but that didn't really make me feel any better about it.

Any other nightmare stories out there? Misery loves company.

Oh yeah, I eventually made a really nice Krayt Genosian Rifle with the rest of those tissues.

It just doesn't sound the same as Krayt T21 though.

I crit on a krayt t21. Just have to get used to it. Happens too often.

Ya, just had a moderate then"failed" then moderate experiment on three successive curved swords withGeonocian schematic cores. Now I'm out of solidifying agent for the "ubber sword" ... its for the guild leader/town mayor too. Gee I sure look good! Thank you SOE for this "crafting experience".

Did you use Pyollian Cake (sp?)before assembling the T21? I've never had a crit fail on assembly when I've used Pyollian Cake, though maybe I've just been lucky.

I crit failed on a krayt T21 with +72 tissues.

My armorsmith business partner crit failed on a chest plate using 42% krayt segs.

That's about the most painful I can recall....

Yes, it happen to me recently too when a guildmate ask me to craft a kryat scout blaster.

Maybe the next time round, I will craft a few same type of weapon before using the kryat tissue. Not sure it will help but at least I won't experiment the crit failure the first time round.

don't assemble anything major without that assembly cake! And make sure you use some of the experimentation food while in the other part!

Hehe congrats on losing your krayt t21 cherry! I think ive broken a good 75 of them on my server lol. Each time i feel like my balls have been cut off

I have a theory that critical failures occur more when crafting schematics that are higher up in level on the skills chart. Even though you're a master and it shouldn't matter cause you have the max available (except perhaps for skill tapes)skill mods for assembly etc.You're more prone to crit fail on a Master schematic then a Novice Schematic.

Naturally the higher level schematics are more complex. but I could craft Nov Artisan schematics all day and never critical fail. But I'll usually fail at least once out of 4 times when crafting a vehicle schematic.

Here is the deal krayt t21s crit fail one out of three times. It dosent matter what you got on your side food fantastic station tools. It seems from what I understand that it is a locked danger. It is all a matter of luck. I have talked to people that have all the tapes uber station tools food. Have spent ten minutes crafting garbage to try to get in after a bunch of crit fails in the hope that since they cleared them out the t21 will come up perfect. Wont happen.

Asfor the other weapons. I think one of the best things you can do is get master artisan. Do not ask me how but it really decreases the number of critical failures. I was a master weaponsmith before master artisan. Was told master artisan would help and it did. Three quarters of crit failures evaporated. Now I crit fail once every hundred times on low end weapons. As compared to five or so times before.

Worst story was doing fantastic on a krayt power handler. It was comeing out truely fantastic and on the last box crit failure cut my success in half.
