someone fix this bug
how can a 10 point smith compete making t21's or other stocked rifles if theres such a hugeass bug in the experimentation
so far i've been able to get 40/40 .85 stocks at the max for damage with an amazing success, while a 12 point smith seems to be able to make 40/40 .3 stocks.
god what a lame bug

What I found when making the 40/40 .8 and 40/40 .3 stocks, is that you need 3 experiments or more to get the speed down, even if you hit the 40/40 in one try. I was putting 6 pips up for the 1st experiment, and more than half were goods or lower. 7 pips really got bad...
Obviously the more pips you use per exp, the better the chance of fails, and it took me 30 to 40 tries to ge the stocks like I wanted them.

12 point smiths max out the damage line just like you do. Its not the extra points, its just sitting down and making stocks over and over again until you get the magic ones. (assuming your resources are good)

The experimentation has been broken for months. You can get 40/40 damage with any quality resources; only speed/HAM/accuracy are affected by your resource stats. Also it takes an excessive number of attempts to get a good one, mostly because it seems like the only somewhat reliable way to get 40/40 is to do 6-7 points in the first attempt.

Stop complaining really I am perfectly okay with the way the stocks assemble. Seeing as the corellian deciduous is dedicated to being garbage. With a respawn rate that is utterly assinine. Anyone else notice its on a consistent two week timer.
With this atleast we can get around the horrid stat caps. Whereas the stat caps kick us seven ways from sunday. On everything else. Oh and think about what you are saying you want it fixed so you cant get 40 40 or the the system actually takes into account the resource quality. It would just be like any item and you would just max the dam speed bar.
Infact this bug is not all that horrendous when you think about it. Makes us keep on our toes. The thing is its not preventing us from suceeding, or being exploited. I would rather see them fix double sliceings, or other exploits when it comes to our profession. They do more damage then this, and if its just bugging the hell out of you. Just experiment it out one at a time. You will end up with a 33/33 or something like that. That is the number you should be getting.
Oh yeah fixing this is a great idea reward the guy who just happened to run off fifty schematics before the patch hit.

Everyone already maxes the dam/speed bar on them so it wouldn't change that at all. They have been broken for ages, several correspondents have mentioned it sothe devs MUST know about it, but they won't fix it and won't even say anything about it. "It's always been like that" or "if it's fixed then they'll be worse" is no reason to ignore an obviously broken item that's generating so many threads here. It seems like there's at least one new thread aboutthe broken expermentationevery day.
