I've been playing this game pretty much since Day 1 constantly, it's safe to say that' i've bought, looted, traded, hundreds if not thousands of weapons.
Constantly I see a weapon that says T21 WITH STOCK AND SCOPE etc... yet when examining or holding the weapon it doesnt show the scope or stock. This evening a friend of mine's wife had a T21 on her that DID have a visible stock, even when held.
Since the T21 is comparable to a 50BMG in modern firearms it stands to reason that they should all have stocks. Not to sound too geeky here, but even in the Star Wars Roleplayers guide to weapons, the Blastech T21 has a stock. Why do they only show up on occasion in game?
I know this is a long winded question, but my friends wife will be master weaponsmith soon, and in the interest of roleplaying we're wanting all of our weapons to have the stocks, scopes, etc... that they should have.
So the question is:
How does one go about actually getting the stock and such to show up when holding a weapon.
Thanks!

Hand crafted weapons show those optional parts, whereas factoried weapons do not.
So it all depends if you want to crank out multiples of the same gun by hand and get mildly differering stats, but get the nicer (in my opinion) visual effect, or factory out a few crates and miss out on the stock and scope showing.
Wish they'd fix this...

In order to make a scope or stock show up on those weapons that allow for visual customization, you need to either
a) remove the optional component from a crate before putting it into the schematic if it is a factory created optional component or
b) handcraft each optional component prior to creating the product.
And he's right, you can't scope a T21 and you can't stock a Jawa (just figured'd throw that in there for the heck of it).
Wish the servers would finally come up, I'm getting bored here in the forums.

It used to have a scope slot but they took it out for some reason during that nerf/unnerf/renerf cycle.
