Just playing with melee weapons today after mastering WS. Wanted to get an opinion or see if i compare to some other WS's. I am a 11pt smith, i managed to buy +10/+10 while grinding and messing around with WS.

I am just doing melee right now and trying to stock up on things to make ranged weapons.

Here is what i have so far:

1) Curved Sword

2.3 speed

72-168 damage

+9 to all range mods

2) Ryyk

2.5 speed

72-171 damage

-2 to range mods

3) Power Hammer

5.3 speed

137-469 damage

-25 to range mods

4) Gaffi Baton

3.4 speed

132-223 damage

+3 to range mods

5) Vk's Only if i had better desh copper, mine has UT of 356

2.2 speed

37-146 damage

+15 to range mods

6) Sword

2.7 speed

65-156 damage

+22 range mods

7) 2-handed Sword

2.6 speed

59-246 damage

+13 to range mods

I am not trying to brag, i am new and just wanted to see how i was doing. I did go to other weaponsmith vendors but not many were stocked and could only get a feel on one or two items.

These are ok? Any tips as if i should go for lower ham or better range?

These are pretty decent weapon stats. Not knowing what the standards are on Intrepid however, it would be difficult to judge how you stand there. But, your speeds and damage are probably in the 85% range of maximum with the best capped resources available. Being an 11 point smith you should be able to eek out some more accuracy than what you are getting. Continue the good work and good luck!

Those VKs are right on. BTW that is just a couple UT points off the best Desh copper your server has ever seen, so don't worry too much.

Thanks, i am only a few days into master WS. But i like this profession, 1st time i didnt keep it due to being new to the game and not knowing resources, caps, etc. But this is fun, trying to mix and match resources to get the best weapon out.

I did some more playing around and for some of those weaponsi hit a little more damage.

I also just went to more weaponsmith shops and im pretty much on par, maybe 1 point lower or higher on most items. I think ill take another week playing with melee and then start experimenting with ranged weapons.

I have a stocked vendor now, and i have been playing with rancor teeth and nym vibro motors as well. Teeth suck, but i hit 172 max dam on some vk's so im happy until i get that 15% speed slice
