Thread: Any armorsmith can make wookiee armor but only wookies can make bowcasters?

I played every star wars game that came out for the PC I can think of but SWG has it to you have to be a wookiee to make the bowcaster and even use correctly. Im a mon cal armor/weaponsmith and im always asked "why can you make the wookiee armor but you cant make me the bowcaster?". I dont know anything about making the bowcaster since im not a wookie but since lucasarts has had the bowcaster used by every race but the wookiee in thier games shouldnt we ask for the bowcaster schematic so the common weaponsmith can make them as well or even go as far as making wookie armor wookiee only craftible also?

Making the bowcaster race restricted for crafting won't upset too many - the bowcaster, sadly, isn't that important.
Armour for wookiees however, is incredibly important and something wooks have been needing for a long, long time. Bottlenecking that isn't good.

The bowcaster definately adds to the "star warsy" feel of the game, and I think should be different also. Make it a quest/loot item for the schematic. I am not a geonosian, yet I can make a sonic blaster.

Great points....maybe they'll make a "Special Bowcaster" temp schematic for all weaponsmiths to make if they have the components.

actually the bowcaster is an important weapon, because it is the only weapon that still uses feed mechs and power handlers, that mean u can make insane ones with some krayt tissues and gorax bones. any master rifleman wookie would pay a bunch for one of those.
