Ok, so I have all the resources and components for the berserker rifle, including the looted schematic and stabilization component (barrel) from the Vette. I'm an 11 point WS and no I'm not a n00b to the Weaponsmith profession.

I learned the schematic and it went into my draft schematics in my datapad. I'm using a +15 crafting tool and a +43 crafting station both of which have never suffered decay at all. I open the tool select the berserker rifle, and get to the screen where i choose my components/resources from my inventory. I add all my resources and components to the main screen, but the stabilization component (barrel) does not appear on the left hand-side list even though it is in the top level of my inventory. I even opened my inventory and attempted to drag the barrel down onto the square for it, and it says it can't be used.

Am i forgetting to do something here?

It has no serial # thus it won't work in the schematic. Take a look about 13 posts down

Just use /waypoint 1525 -2700 once on Talus, look for the Arch
