This is my first time making krayt weapons, i recently purchased 6 identical pieces of krayt tissue that are Max Damage :30 and Speed -.681. My question is what shoulds i build with it to maximize profit and coolness. Main question being what should i build with the tissue! please write reasons for your choice so i can learn why

Well I would make whatever weapons you have that compete with others, i.e if your scatter pistols are say 2.5 120 max dmg and other weaponsmiths are 2.2 150 max dmg then I wouldnt make a scatter pistol. I like laser carbines, for those that are just carbineer and not bh also these tissues would be great. I would make a laser carbine and a de-10 if you have the barrel/schematic. Use a emperor's retreat stock on the carbine instead of a normal one. If I used those stats would be about 2.7 340 max dmg. If you get a dmg slice on this you could get 2-3 mill for it, as it would be a good dmg carbine and carbineer's could easily speed cap with it. Or make a dxr6b carbine. and a scatter pistol.

Carbines, in my opinion, are probably the worst use of krayt tissue. Carbineers are a rare breed thus there is little to no market for guns of this type. The higher end carbines also use way too much tissue, putting alot of pressure on the slice. The best way to get the most possible cash out of your krayt tissues still is scatter pistols IMO. You can make 6 guns with these, assuring yourself of at least a few damage slices. Other good choices would be DE-10's, modified republics, or even DH17 carbines. Hope this helps!

Thats kind of the point, and carbineer is actually becoming alot more prevelant. But no one ever makes laser carbines, Yeah you might be able to make more money on 6 scatter pistols but EVERYONE makes krayt scatter pistols so they are not worth it. Say you get 3 dmg and 3 speed sliced ones. If you only ever make krayt scatter pistols no one will ever start looking to you for other krayt weapons. I make all kinds of krayt weapons to get weapons out to everyone.

Yes what the guy above me said also, carbines have been a hot seller for me recently.

I'm responding to his requestto "maximize profit".

6 krayt scatters = 3 damage +3 speed slices . Damage say 500k each. Speed 100k each. 1.8 mil total, easily.

I sold the 2 I put up today in minutes at more or less these prices.

1 krayt laser carbine, 1 scatter = Damage on carbine, speed on scatter. Doubtful u can get 1.7 mil on a damage sliced laser carbinewith basically base tissue. And if you got a speed slice.....god help you!

Im not saying to never make krayt laser carbines or that nobody uses a carbine. I'm simply saying if these were my only tissues and I needed to make the most money possible (to finance experimentation SEA purchases for example) I would NOT make a carbine.

Actually you can get 1 laser and 2 scatters, laser carbine=3 power handlers. This is the way I do tissue, I dont buy for the insane prices some people do, I buy lots of tissue though, I usually at least make my money back on the tissue I buy though. You basically have to take risks, like I bought a set of 7 decent tissue for 2.5 million, I made 1 laser carbine, 1 de-10, and 1 scatter pistol. The laser carbine got a 32% dmg slice, I sold it for 5 million, I already made a profit of 2.5 million, I got a speed slice on the de-10 and sold it for 1.5 mill making a profit of about 300k on it. The scatter pistol I got a 26% dmg slice on and sold for 750k making a 400k profit on. That is a 3.2 million profit on it. The next set of tissues was also a set of 7 tissues for 2 million. I made 2 krayt laser carbines, both of them got 28% speed slices, heh. I sold both carbines for 1 mill each. Even if I had lost say 500k by selling them for 750k each then thats okay im still in the +. The whole game is buy tissues expecting to get your money back, but when you get the great dmg slice and make yourself a ton of money then that is extra. At least thats the way I do my tissues and I seem to be doing fairly well with them.

Heh ya but he tossed a wrench in there by puttin in "coolness" also.Cant customize a scatter,But ya can have visible stock, barrel and a variety of scopes on alot of other stuff,which looks realy "cool"

I do however agree that for pure profit(short term) Scatters are the way to go.

Long term..making them guns like lazers do pay off.I got alot of tells in the past saying things like "great job bud,nice to see a smith who doesn't just make single tissue guns.You'll be getting alot a buisiness from my guild"..........laletly i have alot of nights where I made more cold cash sittin at home making guns for these people(they supply the tissue) than I made on my vendor for the day.And they toss me the leftover tissues ,which I use to make a sctter and a scout here and there to put on vendor.

Bottom line , when i get full sets of tissues I try to make moslty multi-tissue guns ,and make singles with the scraps.Thers alot of people out there willing to pay top dollar for these guns,and once yer established as a person togo to,they also bring the loot in for ya.

As for this particular endevour(since it seems its yer first venture into the Krayt trade)go for the scatters, make some more cash off them,reinvest the profits in more tissues and then start to diversify.

A couple more questions!

First off should i run a factory schem for the abph's with teh tissues or should i just craft one for each scatter pistol or otehr items i make(if they only take one that is)?

Also do thesse weapons sell for anything unsliced as well?

If you're making single handler guns, don't bother wasting one on a schematic. Even if you're a ten point smith,handlers only have a single line to experiment so you can pretty easily recover from a moderate success.

If you're going to make anything like a laser or Republic blaster using more than one tissue, you don't have a choice.
