Well the list i use has the following use for durralloy steel:

And the max of the stat is behind it so it looks nice for a APPB

I always check swgcraft to see if there is something better on the server you play on.

But those older resources can be more expensive then the steel you have now

I haven't checked the resources on valcyn, so i don't know how that stacks up against other spawns, but there are some general observations to make.

1, Duralloy will have always have high stats for HR, SR and UT. (There was a guide created by Lunariel that shows Minimum and Maximum values for most resources). This steel has the added bonus of having high OQ. The Conductivity is also fairly high for steel, (max is 650).So the HR, UT, OQ and to some extent theConductivity all make this a very nice steel. The SR is actually somewhat mediocre for Duralloy Steel.

2. As, the previous poster noted, there are some weapons and weapon components that call for Duralloy Steel. This one would be good in any of them and excellent in most.

3. This Steel will also be useful in weapons and components that don't call for Duralloy specifically. This will probably be among the Higher CD/OQ combinations of any Ferrous metal you have, so it can be used in Heavy Particle Beam Cannons, Acid Stream Launchers, Scatter Pistols and many other firearms that call for Ferrous Metal.

4. You will probably be able to find better steel for use in Melee weapons which require SR, but if not, this steel is certainly good, even if it isn't great.
