How much do weapon experimentation tapes matter in making weapons - our server is just totally out of hand when a +1 tape goes for 8 million credits - please let me know an example on a weapon made with extra experimentation points - also where is the most consistant mob that drops high end weapon tatpes - thank you in advanced

He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out bent on conquest. I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death and Hades followed with him.

You'd need a total of +10 to get one extra experimentation point. So if you had a +3 tape and a +7 Tape, you'd get one extra point.

It's not really too important unless you care about having slightly lower HAM on your weapons or a tiny bit more durability.

so it doesnt effect speed or damage - if thats the case im waisting my time killing high mobs i should just start making weapons lol

A 12 point weaponsmith will be able to make slightly better weapons in some of the other places like durablity, ham, range mods. You should be able to max out on your damage/speed catagory as long as you dont fail or have a moderate experimentation. I would suggest that you just make weapons now and make money.. if you get a chance to buy some nice experimentation tapes then you can buy them.. also you might have customer who runs across a tape and gives a you good deal cause he gets his weapons from you. Also having 12 points to experiment with will do you no good if you have crappy resources and cant even use all of your points properly. When first starting out the resources you have will make a much bigger difference than having the 2 extra points.

Summary: 12 points are better but not life and death esspecially when starting off. Resources matter more at this stage.

In most cases, no. Most of the time you can only drop 8 or 9 points into speed/damage anyway.

But on subcomponents, having the extra points allows you to add to the range or HAMs and really make a nice impact on the final product.

WSing is sooooo easy for skill tapes. Even a 10pts smith can still sell.
