Thread: When weapons are made one at a time, what can be done?

Hi everyone,
I am trying to find out what a weaponsmith is capable of. Specifically I am looking for weapons that look a little different than the cookie cutter varieties I see for sale everywhere. So, is it possible for a weaponsmith to produce a T21 with a visible stock, or say an FWG5 with a visible scope? What other sorts of things can be done and are there any limits? For example could a T21 have a visible stock and a visible scope?
I am not as interested in weapon performance as the way it looks, any information would be great.

T21 can only have stock, no scope.
A handcrafted T21 with handcrafted stock should be visible.

You can make FWG5's with visible scopes as well, they look like .44's when the scopes are visible.

Awseome, thanks for the information everyone. Are there any general rules about what you can do as far as things being visible? Like scopes on pistols and stocks on rifles? I saw one laser rifle that had a stock and a scope, is that the only rifle that that can be done to?

One thing to remember is that only you will see the mods, anyone standing near you will see the cookie cutter version.

There is a thread here somehwere that lists all the visibilites.. just do a forum search.

The stocks and scopes don't have to be individually hand crafted. They can be in crates but must be pulled before crafting the weapon.

This thread has a lot of info about viewable weapon components. Keep in mind that the custom components can only be seen by the player equipping the weapon and those grouped with that person. Also they can be viewed when displayed in a building.
