Thread: Are Craftign foods bugged?

I've not noticed any difference in crafting % when I eat my cake (+15)
And I seem to have a higher % of crit fails during experimentation when I drink my Grog (+11)
Any one else experience this?

no problems here. I am not in a research center anymore and notice it's much harder to get the results I want, so I've been using pyollian cake...and it helps immensely. I've tried it so many times with and without the cake, while I wait for our new city to become research center, and the food definitely works. I'm not superstitious and the results are in black and white for me. I think you're having a run of bad luck. 8(

I've NEVER had a critical fail on assembly while using Pyollian cake...although I've had my share of moderate successes using Bespin Port.

Like I said...I notice no difference with cake or withiout cake....but moderate sucess abount with the bespin port. I will say that now my city is research center....I get way less problems during experimentation.

Pyo cake seems to work. Never get crits using it.
Port seems utterly bugged. It feels like I get MORE moderates.

Used both poly ckae and besport spin for the first time 2 nites ago and crafting fine, last night was my worst night ever, using 15 tool, 44.95 station , some of the very best resources ever to spawn on bria and i get terrrible results......
5 moderates in a row..
2 criticle fails , one on assembly of a really nice geo enhanced PH and the other was on a schem of geo pistols...after I maxed damage thank goodness..got 589 condition instead of 1080
all in all I got about 15 moderates in around 66 exp, 1 failure, 2 c failures and 2 amazing success( only got that before or after 2 moderates)
...this is not acceptable....I have posted in the correct threads and they seem to think this is ok for the game.

Ok Cake only affects the _inital_ assembly roll. Every experimentation afterwards is only affected by either a Research Center or Bespin Port.
Use bespin port in a Research Center and you will see a huge difference.

I have had terrible luck with the port, don't use it anymore at all.

The cake seems to be good insurance against a critical fail on assembly, but lately it seems that I eat the cake, assemble, drink the port.... and get a moderate. Followed by another later in the process. From all the crafting I've done, and watching slicers, it seems like the "random" number generator is very streaky. And it seems like the streaks of 'great success' are fewer lately. Or am I just noticing more since I'm doing more loot work? The port certainly doesn't seem to help at my house in the boonies, and seems to have a hangover effect: if it actually did give a great, the next one will be moderate if I don't keep drinking.
Hmmm.... Can I just walk into a research center with my crafter's droid and get the bonus? Or do I have to live there?

when I actually feel like riding 4k away to the nearest research center (I live on rori now and in BFE) I just ride into town and pull out my droid. the benefits are still active, so yeah, you're good to go.

I have been messing around all morning and after all the headache know that port has given me more moderate success rolls and will never touch it again, but on the other hand I have never had a failure on assembly with the cake.

I live in a research center, and I think this post has confirmed my observations. Thye Bespin port is bugged. I get way mor emoderates with the port than without it....and if =TROLL= agrees with me, I'd say case closed.
Save your money...don't buy Bespin Port until it's fixed.
