Thread: T-21: To stock, or not to stock, that is the question!

Assuming it's not a custom order, do you stock your T-21's for regular vendor sales? Personally, I do, but I've been hearing a lot of whining about "Ohhhh but Emmily, 7.8s is too much for a Rifleman!" and was curious as to what your customers like.

To tell you the truth my customers like my 7.9 410s.

But pretty much only when that is accompanied by the 76 mind HAM.

They also love the 1235 condition 406 max 105 Mind.

Basically I'm saying as a general rule, if it's not stocked, it's not selling. (Obviously there aregoing to be limitedexceptions)

Just work the stock for all it's worth.

This is probably all going to change in the next couple months after the CURB when you're likely to see much more diversity in what players want from their weapons, if the outcome of the CURB is as expected. If specials spamming is no longer an option for players, they'll look for ways to lower ham on their weapons and those in the know will understand the tradeoff between maxing damage and lowering ham/raising ideal range. Of course many players will continue to look at just the speed and damage even if that's not really their best option.

To get a sense of how DPS would be affected by making a stockless T-21, try using a DPS calculator with both sets of stats. My stocks are .29, so losing 40/40 dmg and only picking up .29 in speed is not a worthwhile tradeoff to me.

I make factory runs of unstocked/regular barreled T21s for grinding, since at novice rifleman speed is a big issue. I hand craft stocked/advanced barreled ones for the people who are close enough to (or allready at) the speed cap, since they prefer as much damage as possible. Plus, with the hand crafting, the stocks show. In the factory crates, they don't, and I like for my guns to look like they have a stock if they do

Please drop any auction winnings at my vendor on Corellia. It is Abilof Weapons at -1803 2347 just east of the Kor Vella starport or the Fort Qui shuttleport.

I make both. The stocked variants sell much faster, though, because of how easy it is to (currently) speed-cap rifleman and that extra damage is quite alluring.

Please for crazy bastards like me keep a few on hand, so I don't have to run around looking for people to make them for me. I don't hunt buffed most of the time, and its realy nice to have the lower ham one around.

To be honest, I think it would be just plain silly to make them unstocked. Rifleman are 10 speed away from being capped, so speed isnt a worry. Ham's pretty much the only deal, but considering how many buffs you can get, that's not a big problem.

Always stock, made a batch without once, ended up selling them on my clearance vendor for 1k while doing more and more factory runs of stocked ones

I'm curious what kind of barrels and stocks are you guys using for T21s? I managed to nail a 7.3 speed 164 min 400 max dmg T21 schematic. I however could have gotten higher if I had used advanced rifle barrels. Condition on them is about 950 or so.

I'd love to see a screenie of your T-21's. 400 max / 7.3 is nearly impossible while using self-crafted stocks. Sorry, I hate to do this, but I'm calling BS on your post.
