wouldnt it be useful to let people re-name weapons after being made?
speed sliced weapons wont be called "uber krayted killr" anymore and it would make stuff much easier for buyers to sort through...thoughts?

I think anyone who names a weapon "uber krayted killr" deserves to get a speed slice. Seriously though, a name like that is usually your first clue not to bother taking the time to look at the weapon. Most smiths will just put the item name, maybe the maker's name and possibly the stats as well, which is what I do. Although when I was a noob and selling uber CDEF's on the forum for 2-3k each, I always gave them names, lol.

I just stick with my company name and the weapon type.
Example: Janson Arms Power Hammer.
That way the problem mentioned, of having the base stats in the name and then getting it sliced doesn't happen.
It's more or less a personal choice.
As for naming them after they've been made...../shrug. I'd prefer that my name stays on the weapon. It's free advertising if the original owner decides to sell the weapon on the baz or something.

hey i made a sg82 last night with max dmg 223 pre slice and i named it KRAYT KILLA...lol but hen again i'm not gonna sell it either it's for my ranger alt hehe.
When i'm selling the weapons i put my company name and weapon type when i'm making guns for myself i always give them some stupid azz name just for kicks.

I too just put [V] or [Vocix] in front of my weapons. If it's enhanced or going to be sliced, I'll simply format it like
[V] [Enhancement] [Weapons-name]
I think Mr Rokarr is onto a good thing although I do see your argument's against this. How about only the maker of the weapon can rename it? When they get the "crate-pull" / "slicer" manufacturer name bug sorted, then maybe this could work.
Interesting concept.
