I got some decent Acklay bones recently and want to put them into a hammer, but neither my reinforcement core schematicoradvanced are accepting bones as an enhancement.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for the help

What damage Acklay bones am I looking at to get a good power hammer. I aint talking Uber, I thinking more on the lines of bones that will make a hammer thats better than the standard one a weaponsmith can make.
I do understand the slice is important as well, but I just wondering what stats I would be looking at.
Thanks.

Here's a ROUGH guide.Take the bone you are thinking of using and subtract 40 from the max damage stat (this is the APPROX value of a craftable advanced reinforced core). Then add the remaining value to 475(average craftable hammer with new JTL resourses),this will give an APPROX value for the max damage on the finished hammer.
Example : Base Acklay bones have 65 max damage...subract 40..equals 25...plus 475 ..equals 500
Of course these are all approx values as resourses differ on each server.

It also depends if you are using the PH as an Speed Capped Swordsman or not. I mean at Master Swordsman you have +75 speed, you cap at +95 speed (Master Brawler = +5 and FS Melee Speed = 4*3= +12, so you need a +3 tape as well to cap).
Once you are speed cap speed doesn't matter anymore, and since the Acklay Ph's are usually around 5.9 speed, that means you need to be speed capped (or close to speed cap) to have the adventage of using the higher damage, but slower PH.
If you are capped the more damage the weapon has the better, since you hit every second with any speed.
Base bones are 65-65 and add around 25-25 to the base stats of the PH. When you want a very good PH you are looking for one around 700 max damage. You don't have to have this with the bones alone, because there are the slicing gods that can help you (if you are nice to them
). So a bone of around 100-100 could be considered a good bone, when you make a PH. Damage would be around +60-60, so around 200-530 unsliced. With an damage slice of 25% you get 250-663, which would make a nice PH to get started
(with 35% damage slice that would make 270-716 damage)
Good luck on getting some nice bones m8 and my the slicing gods favor you

Thanks for the replies guys. I looted eight the other day, 78-100..lol, they had green text as well. Anyway, best I got was a 210-680 slice out of ten lol...could have been worse I suppose.

Someone else who sees it as green!
hint: it's actually yellow. I was playing 9 months before I found that out.
