Right now my Adv Scopes are +41 range with 17 HAM. I go range as far as possible because no one cares about HAM atm.

with some great resources from a friendly fellow ws, i managed to make a 0 HAM cost scope with +15 range.
seems great since it's added range at no cost, but do you think it would be worth getting a few more pts in range for +2 or +3 more HAM?
given the current state of buffs and armor, HAM costs seem very unimportant.
thoughts?

Not really. If someone is fighting something else unbuffed, then they are probably high enough vs the mob to not worry about hitting them with those extra few points. If they are buffed then they obviously aren't going to be worried about HAM at all. I'd say keep the +15 accuracy as just "bonus accuracy" without adding more hinderance to the weapon.

If your going to stock a lowHAM Adv Scope, I'd make it a low as possible and leave it at that.
I keepstocks ofmax accuracy and low ham scopes on hand, but the low ham scopes are real slow movers. The only players that have asked me for low ham weapons, are the hardcoreRangers that don't waste valuable hunting time coming out of the woods for silly things like "buffs," or the roleplayers that wouldn't usebuffs if they were free.

For the high accuracy ones, yes. For the low ham ones I max efficiency and spend the rest on range, but like I said, I rarely have cause to use use low ham scopes.

I stock two styles as well an Accuracy version(43irm, 15/15/15hams) and a low ham version(22irm, 0/0/0hams). Your customers will almost always have a preference of one over the other. When I'm getting ready to make a weapon for someone(I only do custom enhanced work) one of the questions I ask them is if range or ham is more important, this tells me two things. This tells me both what scope to use(if the weapon can be scoped) and it tells me what to put the extra exp points into after I max damage/speed since condition really isn't an issue anymore with the ADK kits. My basic questions I ask when crafting are as follows.
tell me which of the following are more important to you....
Speed or Damage - This tells me which version of barrels to use for pistols, or which version of stocks to use(if FFS is needed)
Damage or Hams - Again this can be relative of the FFS or depending on their answer to the above I carry a couple different crafted stocks(40/40, .829, 14/14/14) and (40/40, .357, 26/26/26)
Hams or Range - tells me which scope to use and possiblywhere to put my extra exp points
Hams or Range or Condition - I typically only include condition in this question if I'm making low condition weapons(DXR6b's) as not everyone will be putting these into ADK's and condition might still be important to some.
Hope this gives you some helpful info on making good weapons. Having mastered most of the combat professions myself I could tell them what would be the most effective weapon, but not everyone fights the same way. So while one weapon may be better for me given my fighting style, it may not be the best weapon for their fighting style. So it's always important to understand which stats are important to your customer. For example you may run accross a rifleman that is speed capped vs one that is not, and while speed may be important for the non capped rifleman it would be totally meaningless for the other. Another example would be mind buffing. While many people get mind buffed these days before they go out to do anything, not everyone likes to play that way. Someone who isn't always mind buffed may be more concerned about ham costs than someone who is.
