Will the experimentation be affected in any way after CU?
Would it for any reason be unwise for a new weaponsmith to invest money in a weaponsmith suit now?

At the moment, it is looking like there will be more things to experiment on, such as different speed and damage lines, plus even if this doesn't happen HAM costs will suddenly become more relevant, so in short I think a +12 suit will become even more worthwhile.
Disclaimer .. this is all subject to change of course, and until we can actually start testing WS (when they enable the trainers/frogs) we cannot know for sure .. but personally I'd buy the suit if one comes up.

I did try to craft a cdef, just to see, here's how it comes:
3 lines to experiment:
Damage line
Efficiency line
speed line
Tried to get a CDEF as good as the one u get when u log in fot the first time, guess what?
It's Not Possible, the stats on the cedf u get are such as the 3 lines were maxed out...that would men 20exp point or something like that...
Now i'm just waiting for the elite profession to go live

If you have the money, you may wan't to get your suit now (provided you have a good resource collection already). The reason being, it's easier to kill stuff now, so CAs are more common and you can probably get your experimentation tapes for a better price. After the CU, it will likely be harder to kill high-end stuff, good experimentation tapes will probably become less common and therefore more expensive.
Another reason to buy now,a lot of people are holding on to their money due to the uncertainty of what the CU will bring. Therefore, there may be fewer customers buying tapes now, so that mayalso help bring prices on CAs down. I haven't really been watching CA auctions lately, so not 100% certain this is the case.
Those aremy theories, at least.

those extra two points will come in very handy methinks. Sort of looking forward to some extra custom business from those who want a weapon slanted a certain way.
