Thread: How is this weapon?
Was just experiementing on different ways to make weapons in CU and this is one of the betterguns I came up with in which I did not have to use nearly all my experiment points just to get the SAC where it is. I can get it in the 70's, but then the damage will be worse than a level 30 weapon and I don't think that's good, or am I wrong?.
Feather FWG5 (has 15 Accuracy mod on it also).
Speed: 2.06 (1.54 with pistoleer 3244)
Dam: 308 - 732
Accuracy: 7
Wound: 12.13%
DPS: 252.39 (338.39 with pistoleer 3244)
SAC: 88
So your opinions please......what for improvement, should I invest in, More damage, speed or SAC? I'm thinking that I could have slacked off on speed, but not sure how much difference that would make to a master pistoleer. Also, there are no enhancements in this weapon and the subcomponents used are not my best. I have pre-CU stuff that's a bit better than my post-CU stuff....but I want to get the basic weapon in order before I start using those.
Then again, should I just go out and get some enhancements and not worry about the damage or speed? ![]()
Looks pretty decent, outcome depends alot on your resources. For me I experiment to max on SAC for all my componets that I can. Decimal place is out on componets speed so if you experiment it to say -1.00 speed it is actually -0.10 speed. So experimenting solely on speed really gives little gain. Damage on componets is also a low yield per point invested venture. Basically I aim my to get my componets with a - speed value to offset the + speed value of my scopes. That way I can have a higher accuracy bonus.
On final combine I experiment to max out damage line, then maybe 1 or 2 points in speed or SAC depending on the SAC I'm aiming for. I basically leave speed to the mods of the user, a speed PuP can be used to lower it. If the PuP is made by a 14 point artisan it will have a smaller negative impact on accuracy which is counterbalanced by the higher accuracy bonus from my scopes.
HMM! this was what I was thinking but wasn't sure really. I usually experiment my subcomponents to max out SAC also with remaining points in speed (if any left). I do the speed because it seems to have a higher increase per exp. point than damage does.
Personally I think damage needs an increase to offeset the need for tissues and bones for subcomponents.....but that might be too much /shrug.
anyway the final assembly is what I was really having trouble with. Seems I can never get it just right. Seems it takes too many points to get SAC decent if it's high, damage I don't have a problem with though.
As far as resources go, my resources are very good except for my rhodium steel which hasn't spawned in over 6 months in any usefulness. I think it spawned once about 2 months ago and it was the crappiest it has ever been. This hurts my barrels very much so.
