Thread: Expensive DE-10 pistols?
Is 4 mil the going rate? Why are they so rare? I heard that one of the parts can't be made anymore or somesuch.
The DE-10 requires a barrel that is looted in the DWB and a schematic that is looted at the DWB. Prior to the CU schems went for 200k-400k and yellow barrels from 700k-1,5mill on my server. If the DE-10 was krayted with nice tissues as well and taking the fact that the DE-10 was the best pistol before cu into account 4 mill was an okay price for a nice DE-10 pre cu.
The CU however turned most DE-10s into crap, but a lot of ws wont tkae the financial hit it would be to sell these at a loss and thus the price is still high.
Also as far as I know the "rebalancing" of the DWB has made it practically impossible to beat unless you have a group of 8 defenders.

Though theres been a few post-cu DE-10s made with some -really- nice stats. but they are extremely rare. And all enhanced. Most DE-10s dont seemt to really be worth the trouble.
As for the DWB needing 8 defenders? Nah. The guild I'm in has started doing regular DWB runs. And we've done quite well with a group of 8 players and only 1-2 Master defenders. And just yesterday we went through the DWB with 3 MDs and 16 people. pretty much blitzed right through the place. We were taking down SDBs like they werent even there.
Part of the trick is to make sure you have designated healers. And not use any area affect anythings. Not attacks, no heals. Just single point (Like bacta toss vs spray etc). Couple that with abit of strategy and your golden.
But it is a rare drop. I think so far out of 3 trips to the DWB 've only looted DE-10 barrels. And then that was only once, in a stack of 4 which propmlty got split 50/50 with a fellow WS who was also doing the run with his combat toon. I've yet to find a schematic though so their pretty rare drops.

I was exaggerating to make a point with the 8 defenders What I ment was, its not just something you go and do when you need the barrels, youwill need jedis and apretty decent sized group to do it.
As for nice DE-10 after the CU. I havent heard of any that came over the 948 and then you might as well make a featherweight for better stats with a lot less trouble. Ive heard a bout a few very nice DE-10s, but they were conversions (and there is rumours that DE-10s made with yellow barrels and really nice tissues can be great, but then it would require barrels looted before the CU, which would also make them quite rare) Note that the last is just something Ive read, I havent tried it myself.
